hyperbabe701
I a couple of minautes ago i found out my neighbor died. I a way i knew it was coming, but i never thought it would actually happen. In my mind i think i had this werid idea that everyone lived forever, Ive never lost anyone close too me. He and his wifes family were always very close to my family, my great grandmother knew them and was there neighbor too. I know he has gone to a better place seeing that he was a very religous person. I also find some condolance in the fact that he died at a old age, he was 98, im happy knowing he had time to live his life, and travel places. The worst thing is, his wife is also in critical condition, and now that her husband has died she will probably pass away in the next week. It would one thing if they were my nieghbors, but these people are like the grandparents iive never had, seeing that my real grandparents are part crazy, Id go over to there house on afternoons during the summer, at cristmas time, and even easter. They even taought me how to knit at one time =) *cough cough* They can't charge me for breaking into my own house *cough cough*
runescapeloser22
Ya, one of my good friend's dad died at like 55 on tuesdayunexpecdidly (sp?) :? and the worst part was his Bar Mitzvah was supposed to be today (Saturday) I didn't think someone dieing would be that big of a deal (like I wouldn't feel so bad and stuff) but I REALLY felt bad and he wasn't even related to me :? If it's any comfort, perhaps you, one day, may be that old bloke with nice neighbourse such as yourself and have younger folk to impart knowlege upon. Perhaps my idea is a bit corny, but that's life sometimes.
Viktorkrum77
Try knowing someone who watched helplessly from their house on TV their mother die in the WTC's trapped in the smoke filled 102 floor of the North Tower. And not even knowing when she would die from smoke suffocation. Now talk about feeling helpless. Me doing staff.
Celt23
The number of widows in my neighborhood keeps increasing. When you see the ambulance and firetruck in front of a house here it doesn't usually end out well. (lots of older people here)

Abyssalwhip
The only reason we die... *Brian interruptes*Dude i know what you're going to say *stewie again* sshhh the only reason we die is because we accept it as an inevitability. Anyway... Just keep in mind it happens to everyone one time or another so don't be too surprised when it happens to anyone. Your name is "bet you fail", and you're starting a business with your mom? Woke up he was dead.. #-o Ouch, that's sad to hear. My father passed away a few years ago, although I didn't really know him well it was still a hard hit. Two roads diverged in a wood, and I-I took the one less traveled by,And that has made all the difference.
unkn0wnwarrior
My uncle passed away in his washroom. His son (8 years old) found him. 1 year earlier, my aunt passed away in a hospital bed. 1 year after my uncle died, another uncle died in his back yard. I have seen so much death in these last few years... That is only a few of the 9 or 10 funerals I have been to in the last 4 years. Worse yet, my grandmothers are both in very bad shape (medically speaking), and I never even met my grandfathers...
Rebdragon
All of these are so true. I'm glad I'm a Christian so I know where I'm going when I die. Know, you're glad you're a Christian because you think you know where you're going to go when you die. Eh, actually, you've got two choices from the Christian perspective, and you never know where you're going :-w . Me, I'd probably go over the edge if someone close to me died.. I don't love the world much, thus I don't fear death much (as I also don't believe in the artificial idea of Hell), but I'd be a wreck if a friend or family member died  . highlanders
Lol I know. Ive seen a TV show about how people live their lives without actually realising they will die someday. When I was down a couple of years ago, I realised that someday I would actually die. Felt as if we were all in trouble lol. Those 'moments' never last though, the brain prevents them from lasting. Haha, be happy and live as if there was no tomorrow, might as well. 2480+ total
unkn0wnwarrior
but I'd be a wreck if a friend or family member died  . I'm the same way... I don't so much cry, but I do get depressed... Not to the point of being suicidal or anything, but depressed. I would jump in front of a bullet if it saved the lifeof a loved one... And in many cases, classmates. Geordiequeen
Death will come to us at one time and my grandad died two years ago and i was crushed but i felt something, he was now free from the pain and instead of seeing parkinsons take over my Grandad's life anymore i remembered when i was a child when he used to play with me. Death can be bad but for my Grandad it was the end of pain and in some ways a welcome relief.
fat_hobbit22
we all fear death so much we never learn to live, step in relegion, aha but now i have some good news for you..... but only if you do exactly as i say. so do what i say and dont worry about diesing, go atack (insert relegion here).... we all die, lear to accept it, dont cry, its precious time wasted, from the second our born your slowly dieing. why fear the transition to death? its like going to sleep? maybe with pain sometimes. why fear death? because you think of all the things you should haqve done and wont get to do... conclusion live well and death is nothing

And not even knowing when she would die from smoke suffocation. Now talk about feeling helpless. What was the point of that? Why does one set of cirumstances make it out to be more tragic. Death is death. How it happened or why it happened doesn't detract from the impact it has on a person. So please, don't try and make this into a competition. You're both as 'helpless' as each other. Neither could prevent it. Neither were held responsible to prevent it. Both should be equally mourned. This is how much you all raised for charity. Thank you.
