Hmmmm i been having freaking dreams. I feel like the house is haunted..

Scares me even more cuz i live alone with 3 empty bedroom.. since my family members moved away.. :(

Anyways i think i dreamt/felt that there was a ghost on me and i couldn't move. felt like i was being hold down and i woke up in the middle of the night wondering if that was a dream or something real because i was like half asleep at around 4:35. What worst was yesterday i was on the phone and i had just finish watching a movie in the dark. While talking on the phone the freaking T.V shut off itself i quickly turn on the lights. :ohnoes:

So yeah i slept with my nights on last night

But the question is are there really ghost out there? i mean no one can really prove that.. since there's not much evidence to prove it..

Who here believes in ghosts/spirits?..

wanna play ??^_^ total=1650+ =)

time pass by so fast -_-

nope, its just you being scared, you make it worse by thinking theirs a ghost.. think its a cat.. or a nice ghost.... that gives you cookies!

anyways nope, no fulproof way to prove it, so it goes in the same book as god for me, prove it and i will believe you, but it is not my job to disprove you, you came up with the theory its your job to prove casper is running round.

side note: watch the 6th sense, and then when you hear something that will proper freak you out

(your face when you hear sumin in the dark: :uhh: )

I half believe in spirits.

More so technology and nature can be weird. Especially technology. I mean, once my strobe light blinked twice without even being plugged in, so yea, technology is weird.

He said he saw a person who was pregant in his visions.. i think that because for every death there is someone born in life...But hmmm it might be his dream. who knows glah..so many unanswered questions :?:

They aren't unanswered questions though. There are explanations.

He saw a pregnant person in a vision - so what, I'd wager over a billion wake up each morning, remembering a dream from the night before. It doesn't mean any one of their dreams was supernatural though.

People who are ill often suffer from hallucinations such as formication, however they can take many forms - all of which will seem equally realistic to the person experiencing them.

They aren't unanswered questions. You are just not bothering to think about the answer.

fractalsignature2lq4.jpg

Lots of rational explanations for this.

Sleep paralysis.

Hallucinating.

Hearing normal noises and interpreting them as something wierd.

And lots more.

No I don't quite believe in supernatural phenomena.

Sleep paralysis.

I shall don my pedant's cap for this:

It's actually the hypnagogic state that causes visions and so on, not sleep paralysis. Sleep paralysis can, and normally does, occur around the same time (though it does not have to - one can experience hypnagogia without being paralysed).

Hypnagogia is excellent. I assume it's the closest experience I'll ever get to taking acid. I've experienced it without the sleep paralysis when I've been listening to Pink Floyd, in a darkened room, on excellent headphones, whilst lying on my bed.

fractalsignature2lq4.jpg

Hmm, some believe it's the way the brain works. If you hear a noise and you don't know where it's comming from/what it is, you might think it's a ghost.

Freaky story, but one time at my friends 18th birthday party at around 3am something, we were all beat and were sitting in the sofa staring at the ceiling. I could've sworn that I saw a black fog move from one end of the ceiling to the other, now I was pretty drunk and tired, and nobody else saw it, but still :-k Makes you wonder..

99 Slayer since August 2007.

I was in ym room last night on the computer and out of the corner of my eye I could see this white light but whenever i turned around it was gone. This happened a few times and was quite an odd experince.

Turns out it was the buckle on my belt which was on the floor reflecting the light from the ceiling into my eye which only could happen as the right angle which was me looking at the computer. Of course when i turned my head the light was relected away from the location of my eye and I caw just a belt ^_^

It's all right, ghosts aren't real.

Never underestimate the power of the brain for making us "see" things.

"Da mihi castitatem et continentam, sed noli modo"

O:) Ask a pastor of a Church to come to your house and pray for it, tell him you think there's some spiritual thing there. He'll be more than happy to do that, he will probly come to your house and bless every room.

A friend to all is a friend to none.

even if there are ghosts and spirits, i dont think that they would want to hurt human being?

Like, what have we done to them?

As most of us (well, let me say "some of us") dont even believe in them, they have no reason to be all bad meanies and tease us when we try to sleep =/

Even though i dont believe in ghosts, some of my friends does, and it's kinda creepy when they tell something what happened at their house at night when they were going to bed..

Although i think it's in their imagination, it still is kind of creepy indeed.

But if there are ghosts and spirits, tell them to get lost from your house, unless they want to give you a packet of cookies and some coffee.

Well, you know, if they want to haunt all over, of course they have to PAY for scaring you, dont they? It's all fair ;o

Edit;

Ask a pastor of a Church to come to your house and pray for it, tell him you think there's some spiritual thing there. He'll be more than happy to do that, he will probly come to your house and bless every room.

Yup

If you invite a psychic to your house they could probably "sense" something. That doesn't mean that there actually IS anything.

Why don't we send a phychic to a house, tell him/her that there have been some superatural experiences there when there haven't. Let's see what happens then.

Actually, I believe in the supernatural, and I think that ghosts are simply fragments of memories, that are recurring for some reason. I don't think that they can affect the physical world.

You were drunk. You were tired. Under the influence things tend to spin. Any chance there was a dark object and it just seemed to spin forward to the ceiling? If not, if people are seriously enough sleep deprived they can begin having hallucinations, long enough and they become as strong as you'd experience as if you were on LSD.

There are so many things that can seem supernatural, and there are plenty, probably even more explanations. Previously thought things such as Near Death Experiences our Out of Body Experiences or whatever they're called used to be on TV all the time, but recently science has proven that because of a lack of oxygen to the brain (or whatever the reason was, I'm not positive) one can sometimes experience a type of hallucination before death. To the person, it seems extremely real. I mean when you're dreaming everything is unquestionably real. It isn't until the explanation is given to you that you realize there is an explanation for every paranormal event. The output or end event you see you think is caused by one thing, but there are a multitude of other possible explanations you're unaware of that could cause you to perceive things the way they aren't. Combine your heightened sense of awareness/fear with a scary/dark environment, and your mind, being the powerful thing it is, sets up nonexistant scenarios for you. But they're only simulations. You just have to use your rationale to figure this out and dismiss these scary things for what they really are. Your mind taking things and distorting them to paint a false picture.

Have you even bothered to read this topic? That's sleep paralysis accompanied by hypnagogia.
