DementedHero - If i remember correctly and you were uncovrd, branched out from your usual abstract sigs (granted witty did have to singe your [wagon] to do it) and tried some new stuff, which was good.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Venomai - Good stuff, but, atm a bit like uncovrd in his early stages, most of the work is the same technique, but different compositions (good, but gets a bit repetitive).

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

GSW - Generally speaking, always creates some new unique piece, against the current trend/styles floating around the forums, which is refreshing if anything.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

FrothKahn - Smooth stuff, nice brushing/colors, but sometimes the chicks don't fit in very well :P

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Nadril - IMPROVED, although, whether you should be on this list is still to be determined. (; ! I remember the ' it looks like a dragon ' sig in very many different colored versions. :P Witty burned you hard for that.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

ColAvanor - One of the better brushers, liked his ocean/aqua whatever its called series. :P

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Entangle - Good 3D modeling, probably one of the best 3d modellers in this forum at this time.

 

 

 

 

 

 

The_Jeppoz - Good pixeler, natural drawer! Pretty good at manips, esp. the Gollum/your own face one.

Hmm, my my. I must have played my cards well around here. (tyVM keiph and venomai). I haven't done anything half decent apart from the underwaters but I always get remembered by those. For a noob who hasn't done any other GFX than the sigs to this forum those compliments are really encouraging.

Unfaith went by the name digital for a while too. they inactivated the unfaith name just in case he really was dead, and then he lasted a bit longer until the sig maker's guild controversy. At that point he called idpup the name of the leader of Germany during wwII if ya get the idea, as Azy referenced.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I really don't know who was best of all time. I am biased because the most fun I had was over a year ago here. I would say that some of the current artists are among the best ever. The quality amont the top artists has improved.

Abstract: I've always tried to match Dave's quality...er Venomai's quality...and some people think I do at times, but in my own world, he owns me hard. He always keeps up with the trendwhore fashion...though I do wish he would experiment a bit more on his own and not read so many tutorials. ;)

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Pixel: Pixel is officially boring me now. I'll always hold a special place for TJ, just because he's the reason I ever appreciated the style in the first place.

I think everytime somone posts "Who is you l33t S1GMak0r?" topic, it gets more and more lame. Considering the fact that topics like these have been made numerous of time, and pretty much each time it leads to some kinda of flaming. And each time the topic proves nothing what so ever. Most people dont even remember the old sig makers that long retired like Witty, GSW (though he still posts, he doesnt make his good sigs anymore), and Kephuis (same as GSW).

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

For abstract, i think that besdies a few people (DH and ForthKahn), every abstract sig is so similir to one another and really doesnt have much of a big difference.

I wouldn't go that far. We had some good work back then, but entangle's modeling far exceeded ours. Especially considering our medium and technique; bryce and boolean, respectively.
