Sure, there may or may not be a god. Why does there need to be? All I know is that through living I can enjoy life for what it is and not worry about the 'big picture' or what I am going to be remembered about hundreds of years of now. Well, you don't necessarily have to have a reason to kill someone. Yes, it's extremely unlikely that you could bring yourself to kill your parents in cold blood, but it's still possible. After the death(s) though, you would be overcome with emotion, I agree with you there.

If you can't find meaning to living, at least live to have fun. Just enjoy consciousness. It's the greatest gift, so use yours right. Try to change your perspective, because while what you wrote might seem true in your situation, if you try changing things around, looking at things differently, you'll find more meaning to life. It'd be hard, given your current view, but you really need something to 180 your views.

Our lives don't mean anything in the first place and whether God exists or not doesn't change that, unless God actually takes some notice of your existence and such.
