March 26, 200719 yr Author warrior read before you post, i have answered your question already. How would you answer if you think like i do? the same way or a different way to me?
March 26, 200719 yr Oo, that cuts to the core. FYI, I did. It's clear all a troll like you wants is attention to fuel your sad, egocentrical world, questioning life, challenging rules and other attention seeking crap. So, I posted that so we could all move on from this phase of yours. im not going to get into an argument with you over this. all im going to say is that you are indeed an idiot. in a room where everyone want silence, you are the man who yells at everyone to be quiet, and adds to the noise, rather than to set the example and be quiet yourself. you want to stop me from getting attention by answering me. good idea \ by the way im not agreeing with his assumptions. im going to gnore all toher spam that this guy posts as well :XD: so lets get back on topic \ How 'bout you set an example than and end yourself? You know, since you have no emotion and all. ding 10k posts >_< can you not read? are you really that thick? re read my first post, it does not say i want to kill myself. If there's no point to life and everything we ever do is so rediculously insignificant and you don't want to die, why do you want to live? Not every person *wants* to live, but they hopefully figure it's better than emptiness (not being alive). To refer to Hobbit's example, there are hundreds of thousands of people with little to no emotion who can pull the trigger for cash or do other stuff because they've found no meaning to their lives. I'm not saying it's good to be emotionally detached, depending on your job it can be extremely useful (police officer, intelligence staff in a violent country, soldier, counselor), I'm saying it's hard to find an honest meaning to your life if you have no emotion whatsoever. Unless you just want to do anything it takes to get money and not get caught. Become a bounty hunter or an assassin. People don't refrain from those "jobs" (that do exist in reality) because the pay is low, it isn't. People don't want to kill others because they fear the emotional toll isn't worth the payment.
March 26, 200719 yr Pfft, stop being such a depressed nihilist. You're no idea how lucky you are to be alive, and this is all we've got, so make the most of it and enjoy it. Stand for beauty and righteousness, be happy, love, spread joy. Pass the weed, please. "lucky"? I think not. :wall: it will pass like most things. You lie, [bleep]!! I am currently 27 years old,(HEY KIDS, SOMETHING TO LOOK FORWARD TO --->) 12 years of the same [cabbage]. Edit: Cabbage..once again... 3

I wouldn't even say I went through a phase of thinking life is meaningless. I'm sure it does pass for most well ajusted people.
March 26, 200719 yr warrior read before you post, i have answered your question already. How would you answer if you think like i do? the same way or a different way to me? Sorry, it may sound stupid but I probably missed it. I haven't really been all that attentive with this topic for some reason. If you could point out where you answered my question, great, if not, I'm not really all that ingaged to be honest.
March 26, 200719 yr  Holy poop! There is enough BS in here to fill the poop shoot in conkers bad furday! Seriously, im not reading all this crap. Ill make a worthwhile post when i come back from school this afternoon, but in the meantime i suggest the topic starter and some other people who follow his thought pattern to read the book "Something Wicked this way comes". Fictional story, but assuming your smart enough, you can get what its trying to tell you. Sig by IkuraiYour Guide to Posting! Behave or I will send my Moose mounted Beaver launchers at you!

March 26, 200719 yr Off you go then, go and shoot yourself without hesitation. I doubt you've actually held a gun before. When faced with the cold reality of death nobody can really pull the trigger. I'm not reading 6 pages but i'm guessing you're around 12-15, find a girlfriend and live your life from there. Hmm maybe I should practice what I preach?
March 26, 200719 yr Imma just gonna put this in bold and CAPS because people like you keep coming in here, saying random crap, and pull back out. HE'S NOT SUICIDAL, IT'S BEEN STATED IN THE LAST SIX PAGES, IF YOU CARED TO READ. IF NOT, DON'T POST, JACKASS!

Hmm maybe I should practice what I preach? im 16, thats the only thing you'r right about. i am in the ccf at my school (its like an army thingy) i am a copral, i have passed weapons training i am a marksman blah blah blah, i have held a gun and yes i can fire one, probably better than anyone else here on this site. i have a girlfriend, been goin out with her for 1/2 a year... and 'When faced with the cold reality of death nobody can really pull the trigger' you can't say that, your experience is completley hypothetical, the same as mine, so you can't say mine is wrong and your right because you are atacking the same foundations you built your argument on. Please don't insult my character, i will be defensive about it

March 27, 200719 yr What a depressing thread. You can enjoy life and that's what makes it worth living.

Please don't insult my character, i will be defensive about it So if you can face death so easily (and theres no point to life) why have you not killed yourself yet? You apparently have access to weapons, the only reason I "insulted your character" is because you went out of the way to make a post on an online forum about how easy it is for you to kill other people and yourself. That way it makes you look like some loser teenager that has spent their life playing to many videogames and have somehow escaped reality. If you truly wanted to kill yourself you wouldn't make a thread here.

March 27, 200719 yr I can't believe how many people can't differentiate between being suicidal and being apathetic and dissociative. I see a lot of people acting tough and saying to go kill yourself, but the matter of fact is that approximately half of you will experience this feeling in some capacity during your life. To blame this on age or being emo, is rather naive at best.
March 27, 200719 yr but the matter of fact is that approximately half of you will experience this feeling in some capacity during your life. How can that possibly be proven?
March 27, 200719 yr Oh no, here we go again. I was already tossed out of the last thread by the same author, who went all nihilist and "whaaa what a useless life, death is easy, aren't I so wise and smart and cool and aloof for thinking all this 'controversial' stuff out, you lowly consuming creatures, bow to my ultimate philosophical blabber" because I was a so-called idiot, but really, I do need to say this. 1) I went through a similar stage some ten years ago. 2) I am so glad that only some private diaries can witness that shameful but necessary period in my life, and that there wasn't an Internet board for me to make a fool of myself for the whole world to see

March 27, 200719 yr How can that possibly be proven? Like any other statistical claim. So are you implying its simply a phase? Because this is exactly what I'm treating it like for the OP. He'll grow out of it in a few years. It's a condition, it would be like calling something like depression a 'phase'. It isn't associated with a specific part of a persons development, the only statistically relevant part is that the mean age for this condition is around 16. To say that you will grow out of it, is to say that you will grow out of depression or trauma; some people will and others won't. It seems that it isn't causing the poster any impairment to functioning, so it shouldn't be a worry. It's just peeves me a little that people dismiss this as just some kid's ramblings, when it can be a legitimate problem. If someone posted that they haven't been able to sleep properly for months or that they were worried about binge eating and weight, you would identify these as being problems. Yet if someone feels disconnected from reality, it's obviously some emo kid after attention and that they will grow out of it.

Thing is, I don't think he is depressed more so as a "look at me, my emotions are disatatched from the world, I can do whatever I please" deal.
March 27, 200719 yr i think about life sometimes. The world is only what weve made it, why footballers do hardley anything and get tons of cash for it, why some people are treated different from other, its confuses me.
March 27, 200719 yr I'm sure tenthousand others have said this alreayd, but I just feel like saying that when you're having that gun at your head or aimed at another person, you'll have some more trouble pulling the trigger. March 27, 200719 yr Read Unweaving The Rainbow by Richard Dawkins. No, it doesn't attack religion or talk about evolution. Yes, it does talk about the wonder and amazement of life and nature and everything around us. "Da mihi castitatem et continentam, sed noli modo"
