Vanquish8706 Posted March 27, 2007 Share Posted March 27, 2007 I once got a pm asking if i would be willing to sell my whip for 2.2M or so (very recently) and he said he wanted to trade near the monastery and I knew it was a lure. I decided to play a long and deposited everything i had on me except my whip. I went to find the guy and he is running around killing sheep or something. So I trade with him to make sure he sees i have the whip. Then quickly x out of the trade...i then see his friend come down and decide to step in the wildy and taunt them. The mage snares me and starts killing me but i dont care Ill still have my whip. So after I die and have my whip I pm the lurer back and harass him (just said failed lure or something like that)...boy did it feel good... If he was a 'hacker' as you say, a REAL hacker he would get it even if you changed it. If he had keylogged you to get it he would get it even after you changed it... By the way, Luring is legal because of the wilderness sign that warns you. EDIT:As of the RuneScape update on Thursday, March 29th, Luring is now illegal. Just thought I'd clarify that I was correct when stating this so no one will be quoting me calling me an idiot for not knowing the rules. Not that you would of course. Would you? I'll take your word for it though. :D I would have wild lure kill stories, but nobody, and I mean nobody, lures people with pker stats. Seriously, in over a year of merchanting, I can only think of 2 wilderness lures people have tried on me, and they usually just go "um, nvm I sold it" or whatever. I can assure you that they dont care about 81 mage, they tried to lure me with 95 mage :/ The problem is probably that you dont sell many expensive items on jagex forums often.
