Ive recently got into doing bodybuilding lately, does anyone hrere do it?

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

If you done know what it ist, its where you build up your muscles, and thats basically it lol. People like arnold schwarzenegger do it.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

No, don't body build just for muscles. You will be just like one of those "gangstas" who think having visible triceps makes you superior.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Practice parkour, go outside, don't just lift up the weights all the time. Strength isn't all about the size of your muscles.

Nice one mate. No I dont body build I am rather fat for my age im sad to say...not massively but yh

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Im hoping to lose weight very soon. I want to lose around 1.5 stones mabye 2 then i want o start getting some muscles. cus i hate being big still but with muscles

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I wanna be slim but have tense muscles if you see what i mean

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I just think body building is o.t.t.....I want have like tight compact muscles but slim and not be really big with big muscles :-s ..U hope you understnad what i am saying

I suppose I bodybuild. I go to the gym three times a week to lift weights and stick to a training regime and try to eat the relevant food. But instead of pure weightlifing I also want to maintain endurance and agility, so I go on long runs and bike rides and practice karate.

bodybuilding consists of 3 parts

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

training

 

 

 

sleeping

 

 

 

eating

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

diet is definitely the most important part, with sleep coming in 2nd.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

if u just started bodybuilding, i recommend the 5x5 program or rippetoes.

as for my, ive been bodybuilding for about 2 years now

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

weight 58->80 fat% around 8-10

 

 

 

bench 35 kg (77lbs)-->115lg (253lbs)

 

 

 

and thats decline bench, propably even more on flat bench..

 

 

 

bicep grown around 9cm

Another question though, which would be better in terms of just losing calories? Running / bicycling?

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Running I think. You move your arms while running and you don't while bicycling. Of course you have to put in how fast you're running/biking.

Eat BIG, Lift BIG, Sleep BIG, Grow BIG.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Also if you Squat BIG, Bench BIG, Deadlift BIG, you will grow big.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Like T-Roach, 5x5 or Rippetoes, but to be honest those are mainly strength programs, not for hypertrophy. However they give you a good strength base so that you can move on to HST or Hypertrophy 2.0.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

You could try a body part split.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Monday - Chest, Shoulders, Triceps.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Wed - Back, Bis

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Fri - Leg Day

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Of course those routines can help you so much, your diet is important, you must eat in caloric excess and take in about 1.5g of protein per 1lb of body weight.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

You could invest in a Whey Protein shake if you're really interested, gives you a good boost of protein right after your workout since that is the time where your body is most anabolic and ready to take in protein. Since Whey is digested quickly, it's the most suited as a PWO shake.

Every Monday night I put on armour with a bunch of other guys and we beat the everliving crap out of each other with wooden swords. That's practical bodybuilding.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

AND play D&D at the same time?

and remember cardio :))

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

bicycling, running, jump rope, stuff like that. Very important. For example when u body build--> ur muscles get bigger --> if u dont train ur heart as well ur heart isnt going to pump enough blood (oxygen) into ur muscles ---> ur a lot weaker than u what u look like.

I love workin my muscles, im a big guy, but also one of the strongest at my highschool, its max week right now and I love it.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Pushing your muscles to the brink of exhaustion so you cant lift em, then doing it all over again the next day :D

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

btw i benched 320 today, and powercleaned 230.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I should be benching more than I am, but its still in the top 5 at my school lol.

Im 13, and I can bench 130lb, and do 55 pushups in 1 min .

You shouldn't start any serious body-building at such a young age. It is unhealthy.

stop! now! you wont grow, im being serious unless you want to remain at your height now stop! my maths teacher is like 5 foot 1 because he started lifting weights at that age!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

bodybuilding is for posers, you lift your max once, and then you rest, granted you look toned and big but your not actually getting much stronger, if you want strength, lift less but more reps!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

i'm not allowed to go to the gym that much because i've got to stay flexible for my swimming, but saying that although im not the biggest guy in my year im definitley one of the strongest. If your looking for fitness rather than looking henched, do the same sort of thing i do. I swim 5 times a week (10 hours) and go to the gym 5 times a week as well, but im always low weight high reps. thats worked for me.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

how many sit ups, chin ups, and push ups can you do in 2 mins?

 

 

 

i know to get into the marines you need to do around 200 press and sit ups and around 20 chin ups.

 

 

 

i can do 250 press ups, 180 sit ups, and 50 chin ups all in 2 mins
