ok, story time:

i was training slayer as usual, got a bad task from shilo, so i burnthorped and got ghosts. Usually i kill the ones in melzar's maze, but i wanted to change so i went to kill the ones in the death altar.

After i finished i decided to go outside and remind myself of mep 2, so i talked to the dwarf and got another list for a death talisman

then i talked to the dwarf again and the conversation went as follows:

Dwarf: Hi again, how're you doing with those items we need?

Me: What do you need all this stuff for?

Dwarf: Oh well we don't get many deliveries down here, so it's supplies mostly.....

Me: How do you explian the door key?

Dwarf: ah.... um... I'm not sure how that got on the list.... Can we have it anyway?

Me: Right, why do i get the feeling i shouldn't ?

Dwarf: pretty please with a blood talisman on top?!

Me: A blood talisman?!

Dwarf: Oops, I meant "death talisman"!

all this looks extremely suspicious

Apologies accepted.

Plus I think the whole teenage girl thing will end soon (hopefully), because my girlfriend is absolutely in love with him(she is 18), and im beginning to feel threatened by his [Justin Bieber] dashing looks.

well it's pretty obvious that blood crafting would most likely come out with the next installment of MEP. This just solidifies that belief.
If that comes out I minus well alch my quest cape...

Yes, this has been around since the quest has come out and No, I would not read too much into this. Sometimes Jagex just likes to tease us during quests, like in Swan Song where they tease us with a blue p hat, and My Arm's Adventure where they tease us with full dragon. There are other ones as well, but those are the biggest two I can remember off the top of my head.

As I and several others believe, the Blood altar and blood crafting will be released in the finale in the Myreque quest storyline. And to that dwarf mentioning the blood talisman, like others have said, JaGex loves to mess with the players, and I think that's just an example of such messing.

myreque quests are EXTREMELY boring, darkness of hallowvale(SP?) without a guide was torture.

Well, I'm in the Process of doing MEP2 and I have to say, it is very very hard. But I'm sure it will be worth it :) (I'm only doing it so I can be prepared for the next part)
Have fun, it took me 13 hours (spread it out over 2 days and yes I counted, if there was no such thing as a quest cape no force in runescape would get me to do that quest) with a guide and no mistakes and a s*** load of food...

Be thankful it wasn't "take this to that guy, then come back, then slay this monster for me". Those kind of quests really are torture!

I'm still a firm believer that the blood talismans will eventually follow from the Myreque quests. The end of DOH leaves a lot of loose ends - it just plays into the hands of Jagex, who can take their time inventing the altar. And it makes sense - vampires, blood. I don't think they'd give access to two treasured rune altars in one quest storyline, either (Death and Blood). They like variety.

Maybe so, but needless to say I found it fun. With the DOH ending, JaGex left alot of loose ends, the Castle, the Owner and the miners, to what purpose do all these have? We will find out, we just have no idea when.

Lets all take a moment to think about this...

What exactly would that do the the economy?

People would have bloods en mass like never before :?

Hardly, to another person who said something along those lines, let me ash you this. How many people have 77+ runecrafting, hardly enough for bloods to be "en mass" as you describe it.

Let's think about logistics here. Bloods would (hopefully) need a Rcing level of 75+. Hardly anyone has that level of RCing, and unlike other skills, Rcing is a really hard skill to raise up quick. Therefore, since hardly anyone would be able to craft the bloods, there wouldn't be any significant increase - not compared to sill pieces of paper being traded for 350Mgp anyway...

The writers at Jagex seem to rarely write themselves into a corner such that they cannot continue a certain storyline, regardless of how much time has passed since the last installment of a story sequence.

In my opinion, the Mourner's storyline has been concluded according to the conversation that you have at the end with Arianwyn. To remind those who have completed MEP2 a long long time ago, Arianwyn said the Mourners -- or the Death Guards from the quest -- won't go into the Underground Pass and you've also sealed the entrance to the Light Temple.

I agree with many others on this thread in that the Blood Altar will be introduced through the Myreque storyline. After In Aid of the Myreque, there are lots of loose ends and plenty of black space to further expand the Sanguinesti region. Some of you may or may have not noticed but the wall east of the Sanguinesti Myreque hideout entrance is broken and is blocked with metal bars (maybe rebar?). This broken wall is a potential quest start point to unlock the Blood Altar. I'll try to post a picture if I ever decide to go back into the Meiyerditch.

One more bit of evidence that Jagex has the Blood Altar in the works is the Blood Altar portal in the Runecrafting Abyssal space. When you try to use this portal, you get the message "You're blocked by an unseen force" or something to that effect. If I'm not mistaken, there's a similar portal for the Soul Altar.

You forgot 1 important thing:

Is the king of ardy going to just go away like nothing ever happened? do you even remember what the letter to the king said? Zamorak is being revived and tyras' men are the actual GOOD GUYS, which explains why that random elf who had no clue what was going on was shot down at the beginning of regicide and the plague was set up. the plague was to keep citizens afraid, as well as cover up the reasons for the mourners, and finally, to send an entire ONE MAN ARMY (thats you) thru the underground pass and wipe out tyras. the light temple's discovery wasnt a fluke, but it also wasnt THAT important. what is important tis that somewhere, a group of people are reviving zamorak as we speak.

dont forget all those [bleep]es in the wall that look oddly like AGILITY TRAPS, as well as the 2 castles, one being guarded by a mob of juvinates. try to open the door, and you character will conveniently say "im not going in there" or something. also there are WOLVES IN FRIGGEN VARROK NOW. not to mention this "junior priest guy" (iven i think his name was) who you escorted to the same church where the wolves knocked you out. convenient much?

to end, i say that there is a lot more to both quest series than meets the eye. jagex has given us a lot of info to start with. If only there was a way to "walk thru walls" and see the inside of various unreachable places (there is a very secret ledge to nowhere next to the rune rocks near the light temple). in conclusion, i agree that the myreque quest line will have the blood altar, as i doubt 2 quests in a row in the SAME STORYLINE will release new runes. dont expect an update on this till 2010 tho
