No, I think it's a brilliant scheme to make lots and lots of money, and most of my resentment for the whole concept can be traced back to the fact that I didn't think of it first.

The franchise...ewww.

The original Gameboy games are neat though, the best Gameboy games I've played on a handheld, no doubt about it.

Something like that yeah.

I did enjoy the red/blue deal on gameboy. I was younger than though.

Now a days its just stupid though, way too many things to keep track of.

I like pokemon, but only the games. But i didnt like Pokemon Fire Red/Leaf Green or Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald. My favourite is silver :) But they should give up now

I like Pok̮̩̉̉mon. I like the games which follow the original concept. I thought the anime series were okay and the theme song was great. They realised that they could make a lot of money on other products than just the games. So they made a lot of other Pok̮̩̉̉mon products. I think most of them are garbage but I understand why they were made.

So my opinion is that Pok̮̩̉̉mon is great just over exploited.

The cards and shows were not so great. The themes from the shows are catchy, though. The games, I like, but the first 6 for gameboy were the best of them.

Agreed. I lost interest after red/blue (although it may be because I wasn't 11 years old anymore =x). Too many pokemon, I was fine with the original 151.

And the bible is the big book of lies, call me a racist if you must.

my question: why do you care about it so much that you have to make a thread on it?

I think it's a great hand-held game, the console games were never good, I liked the show when I was little but it really isn't good, and the cards became a novelty rather than a thing to battle. Hell, I'm probably getting Diamond for my DS because I want a long and fun DS game to play.

151 pokemon ftw. Now that I think about it... I have never gotten all of them legitimately. I usually just go through the entire game just leveling my starting pokemon and taking on the elite four with it.

+1

The games are incredibly fun, especially Blue and Silver. :)

Me too. But the last time I did it I went through the game in the intention of getting a Mew without gamesharking it or something like that, there's this glitch. And then lvl my Mew from there. It was pretty neat.

That being the one where you make the kid wearing shorts up near Bills start a battle, but you fly just before it happens, forget where, then you need to go down to the gambler or something down south at the port.. or is it just skip straight to a wild pokemon battle :o

I can't remember very well :(

I tried the one where instead of getting the skill cut from the captain on the ship, a friend traded me a pokemon that had cut on it so I didn't need to get it from the captain, so the ship didn't leave.

I then went and got the surf move then surfed around the little area around the ship, but I couldn't find mew.

I think the main reason I didn't find it was because I had yellow version, which didn't have the cheats red/blue had. :(

That's the one. It makes the next pokemon you fight be dependent on some number stored somewhere which is gotten by flying away just as he tries to speak to you, or something like that. It works though.

Silver, Gold and Crystal were good, too. 250 names were difficult to memorize, but you didn't really need to, anyway.

I use to like pokemon, back when it VERY first started for a year or 2.

Now they changed it up so much, and the conversations they have during episodes are so repeatitive, you can already tell whats going to happen before it happens.

Hell, I did it on a cartoon show today that I never saw.

3 kids walking down a street, get spashed by water on the side of the road by a jock in his new car.

The kid wishs he was older... and yup, he gets older by a monster. I was thinking, he will learn he really never wished he was old and the jock who splashed him with the car will have a wreck.

Sure enough, it happened at the end. Still a good cartoon show tho.
