As I was casually slaying Kurasks, my friend brought up the subject of those little bird eggs you can find in a nest while woodcutting, or get as a paid for reward from Manage Thy Kingdom in Miscellania.

 

 

 

Currently, there is NO use for a birds egg but to sit gathering dust as wasted bank slot, only kept in hope of a useful update that may require them.

 

 

 

Then, it hit me. A combat-related idea for these colourful collectables.

 

Firstly, i'll start with the introduction of.. the FRYING PAN! Yes, okay there is currently a frying pan in the RFD chest, but since when have you been able to use a weapon to cook food?

 

 

 

Anyway, if the frying pan in RFD wasn't changed so it could be used as a utensil here is the frying pan, for frying.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Anyway, the basic idea of an egg + a frying pan is to make a fried egg, right? NOTE: THIS egg would only heal 3hp!

So, by implementing the colour of the birds egg into the same method, we get coloured fried eggs! Right so now your probably thinking, poor child. Lol, just keep reading.

 

 

 

Each of these new coloured fried eggs would have a unique special effect when eaten, not only would this rare food be untradeable, it would heal 35 hp and have an effect that would last 10 minutes depending on the colour, read on.

Red fried egg effect = Anti dragon fire for 10 mins. (No shield or potion required).

Green fried egg effect = Poison immunity for 10 mins.

 

 

 

 

---->

 

 

 

Blue fried egg effect = Ability to cast water spells without the need for death runes for 10 mins.

 

 

 

 

 

That's basicly everything, comments please, good? bad? childish? i'd like to hear them all.

That is a good idea, while there are also many other ideas useing eggs, this one works quite well. :)

Maybe a normal egg should heal 4 hp, and a coloured one gives specific defenses (Magic, Ranged, Melee) And a heal of 8-10?

 

 

 

I only said low hp levels because using an egg with a frying pan, is way too simple. While making a pie takes alot of time. And its worth it

I like the idea...i was always wondering what would happen to these eggs i have.

 

 

 

I was also thinking of something like: You hatch the egg and u get a bird, and you train it like a new pet! \

NOT GOOD. They should stop tree nests from having eggs, allow players to hatch the eggs and get a baby chick. The chicks will become a novelty and everyone can trade them. Then comes the impt part, ten years down the road, peeps will b buying chicks for about 100m ea. Then, u'll b rich

The whole idea of having the high and different aspects is because THEY ARE UNCOMMON, I wouldn't start giving 35hp heal to a NORMAL egg.

I also take my "Not 35 hp" Idea back, but seriously, 35 hp!? Half the people on RS Dont even have 25 hp... :uhh: Though I have 46, I dont like the high hp idea, even if they're rare,

 

 

 

Furthermore, If they are so rare, they should use the eggs simply for pets, Like the cats.

I like it, a bit evil and unhealthing eating green eggs and all but i support.

maybe at bleu egg no death but water runes ( already suggested i know ) this is how i would think it for cooking because of the 35 hp you really have to do something for it:

 

 

 

1. You woodcut get birdnest and w00t an egg

 

2. You go with special boat to somewhere ( you only may use that boat when u have an egg:D )

 

3. in that place you get special spices you need for the cooking

 

4. in the cooks guild you can grind them ( ONLY in the cooks guild)

 

5. frying pan idea first you do egg in it then some of the spices you do over it

 

6. put it on fire 80% chance that u actually cook it without burning

 

7. and then the fried eggs with your ideas

 

 

 

Side information: 32 cooking needed and 20 herblore needed ( for getting spices {i dont know why so dont ask})

Maybe, Instead of introducing all that.. there is a quest where you must make a spiced [colour] birds egg for someone, and the reward is the frying pan?!
