sonance2
SUPPORT ME ON OFFICIAL FORUMS! Quick find code is: 24-25-208-42927924 copy and paste into jump to thread field! Please make it sticky if U thik it is really good! --------------------------- 1. Introduction Hi Everybody! I think I have a cool solution to stop all resource collecting autoers. I know it is a "raw" idea, pls support me, fix my idea. I hope it isn't useless Jagex will use it! :P Pls MODS read it and support me too! The big problem is autoers drop down market prices! Collect 50k lobbies, lotsa yew logs, buy tons of runes, etc. Fair players r sad because they work hardly and can't make good earnings! The most annoying thing is the Rune collecting autos! RUNES ARE STACKABLE! Macros leech all chaos and death runes, etc. It is not just annoying auto-user players make really big profit! Solution above! IT IS NOT HONORABLE! 2. Solution - The Safe Word System (SWS) a.) Banks The banks and magic shops use "safe word"! If somebody want to enter own bank account or want to buy runes from magic shops the system displays a screen with a "safe word". It is just a half of sec for a human but impossible for macros! Impossible because autoers can't recognize characters! For example: If I login the system and use bank I must type my bank pin (if I have). Take my pickaxe and go to mining. If I come back to bank the system displays a screen: Safe word: Wizard's hat (nice bright colors like verification words on webpages) Choose the correct number: 1. Adamant warhammer 2. Mugger 3. Wizard's Hat 4. Black Dragon If I want to do fletching, making potions, etc. no problem because the "safe word system" don't activate again within 1 min. b.) Magic shops: If somebody bought more runes than default stock the Safe Word System (SWS) activated like upper example. If player use the shop: half-a-sec and can continue if auto use the shop: no more runes! pls post for support on official forums and to fix my idea Have a good play, Sonance2 (GPAC Leader - Good Players Against Cheaters) -------------------- SUPPORT ME ON OFFICIAL FORUMS! Freesia
With such a idea, it's going to be very tedious. Probably in a few months/weeks autoer scripts would be programmed to be able to solve such problems, then it backfires and affects real players. The 2nd idea may work though. Strangely with WotLK so near, I wished I could delay it a bit to push through that last TBC content in MH/BT :'(.
Iamdan
A nice little story there, I am sure you put some time into it. Alas I didn't read the whole thing, I read until I saw autoers can't recognize characters Thats a wild assumption there. A program cannot read characters? First of all, client hacked macroers will just read the packet sent from the server. They don't need to recognize characters on screen, Runescape's server tells it what they are anyway. If the macro in question is a colour clicker, it can easily bypass it as well. Google OCR for more information.
BloodArgon
Would be stupid, you think macroers can pick flax, mine and bank ores, and all this other stuff WITHOUT reading characters? How do you think they respond to randoms, and can bank items, even put in bank pins? This would work really. I doubt there is a 100% full way to stop them, because, it can really do anything a human can do, but, just requires a lot of work on the macro makers part. 99 Crafting :: 39,750th || 99 Attack :: 1,775th
Iamdan
He is probably not talking about regular text like from randoms, I believe he is talking about syntax. Which is what jagex used in their fatigue system. Again, this is easily bypassed by an OCR. What may I ask, is the point in you saying the same thing I said, except with less intelligence and more cussing? The idea won't work, nuff' said. sonance2
I know macros can read normal characters, but NEVER can read like this, distorsed characters: LINK Is it correct? U can read it a half of sec :)
None2None
I know macros can read normal characters, but NEVER can read like this, distorsed characters: LINK Is it correct? U can read it a half of sec :)No, you're wrong. Macroers can read everything. You're thinking of text-answering bots, like the Google AutoFill... Javabots can do anything, hense solving the strange box, and...well...every other random. Sorry, but this wouldn't solve a thing ~ Clicky for the blog of No Cb Skils ~
pati
I really don't like the idea If I want to do fletching, making potions, etc. no problem because the "safe word system" don't activate again within 1 min. activating every minute is really annoying Computers will never be above humans because we made them. That's what monkeys used to say about us. britonlongbow
This should be in suggestions not rants.
argentini_an
Err... If Macroers can help the Graveyard man or catche the Evil Twin, I dont think they'll find it too difficult to circunvent this type of random event. The best thing you can do is to send in a report
Captainkidd
That wouldn't do anything, all the person would have to do who uses the marco is be on the account when they get though the little screen of yours then turn on the marco to start buying... deyan2
They do recognice characters and what about featherbuyers, they can simply go on forever? In the magic store they can simply buy if there are 11 or more in shop so there will allways be one left (or buy 1 by 1)
l0rdbarney
i dont think this will really work out but nice try for attempting to stop autoers pure:demon_x_king

Lenin64
wll, this may not be perfect, but i dont see you guys coming up with anything... of course, thats because this was in rants, and i dont really look in the suggestion forums.....needs work, though, but i believe it has *some* potential. ortiz9471
It wouldn't work for the same reason that autoers can solve the box. They send a message to the server about option 1, the message comes back confirming it's not that. Then for message 2, 3, 4. It just won't work. drapit
yea that'll probably get rid of those bots AND those honest players.
iwldwonu
I love it! i fully support since im not a member i cant post on rs forums :XD: but giving dark wizards at draynor bank a snare attack may work! (autoers walk past there)
Captainkidd
Rofl, another dumb idea. Have you even thought how a autoer works? Its not some computer that you push the 'on' button walk away and come back a month later with a 50k yew logs...There is some one setting the autoer up, either just starting it and it opens runescape logs in dose what it needs to do or the person who started it brings the guy to a sertin place and turns it on, if they had that the autoer runners would simply get though that screen and run the probgram that buys them... Bard_Bow_Man
Srry, but macroers read the data from the packet that Jagex sends them; so this plan will backfire... We tried using an abyssal whip to 'suggest' they work faster
YoungFather
i like the first idea, but im sure it wouldnt take long before the bots figured it out, and the second idea would be annoying
RpgGamer
very good idea, however if i had to keep putting it in it may annoy me after a while. it should be more of a bank pin thing...like at the top it say type: red party hat and then it has one of those fill in boxes, if you spell it right you can get in until you log out. This should also apply to all the guilds Quote Quote Anyone who likes tacos is incapable of logic. Anyone who likes logic is incapable of tacos.
