RS Karma - long reading

Karma is a sum of all that an individual has done, is currently doing and will do. The results or "fruits" of actions are called karma-phala. Karma is not about retribution, vengeance, punishment or reward; karma simply deals with what is. The effects of all deeds actively create past, present and future experiences, thus making one responsible for one's own life, and the pain and joy it brings to others. In religions that incorporate reincarnation, karma extends through one's present life and all past and future lives as well. It is cumulative.

Yesterday i was in a good mode.

Him:"I am 100k short of buying me a whip"

me:" Dont worry you'll get 1 eventually"

And suddenly...i thought,why not help this nice dude out.

I check the bank ==> 500k :( .

I use my lvl 85 math to calculate,100k of 500k..mmm...thats 20% (!!!) sry cant be done...

I was about to tele but then i thought, wait a sec, i have some stuff at the back of my bank.

==> Trade

==> You are about to give:Rune pl8,Rune legs,Yew comp bow- in return you'll get nothing!!!

Him:"Omg are you sure?"

Me: "Sure"

Him:"Realy?"

Me: "Yep"

==>Accept

Him:"Tyvm"

Me: "you welcome"

after done with the khalpites, i am heading to shilo,on my way on Hajdy cart i am thinking: well...its been a long time since the bastard (Duradel) has given me Abyssals....

Duradel:"What are you after?"

Me:" Abyssals will be fine i guess"

Duradel:"Ok, 132 Abyssals now take off ,Seravel!! escort this man to the ladder"

Seravel: "go **** urself"

Duradel:"mmm..Ok.. you'll have to excuse him,you see,no one ever visits him..."

This is where this nice little story end

The moral of this story kids is:

Very NICE :)

But when I do something nice (like you did) you should just worry about helping someone not of what you get in return. So when you DO get something good its because you did it of kindness not because of "zOmFg i H3lp3d a n00b! *kills a dust devil* Zomfg wh3r3z mY d Ch@iN?!?!"

I don't believe in Karma, even if I did I wouldn't do a good turn just to expect something in return. I do it because it is the nice thing to do and it helps other people. Nothing beats that warm fuzzy feeling in your stomach. :)

It is a figure of speech. The warm fuzzy feeling refers to the fact you know you have done something good so in turn you feel good. :roll:

Next time, try using good grammar and proper words. Maybe people will then think you are actually being kind instead of getting the wrong impression that your foul internet slang is just drunken abuse. :wink:

Aww, we've gone so long since the karma phase this forum was addicted to a year ago. And to quote myself from June of 06,

Yes, this event is undoubtedly attributed to karma because karma controls every aspect of our lives and makes the world go round. Free will? Nope - karma runs how our luck goes, because pretty much everything in the world runs off it - something happens that seems out of place, make it make sense to yourself by calling it karma, because god knows we couldn't live with ourselves if we had something we couldn't explain (make up a reason for).

Wow, I'm unbelievably pessimistic today.

*Ahem*. Nice luck. Karma's going your way. Yeah. Karma.

Also refer to Bubsa's thread on Karma: http://forum.tip.it/viewtopic.php?t=458192

(Here's to stopping another potential karma fad)

erm... I think he was kidding about the stomach thing. Now lets not let this turn into a flame war.

I dont beleive in karma. Partly because I never get anything in return for doing anything nice/the right thing.

I shall now make the ultimate sacrifice and accept all your items and therefore bad karma so you can be saved.

No need to thank me, its the nice kinda thing that I do.

Off topic - anyone remember the bad karma monks of terry pratchett?

To be totally honest, i don't believe in karma in runescape. People tend to try to give a cause to an effect, even when it isnt needed. Everything in runescape that isnt judged by your action (such as you burning a log will result in gained experience), will be random. You being in the bank and giving that guy some items to buy a whip was just random because you may not have even ended up in that bank because you might have gotten a wilderness clue.

I dont know, maybe its just me, but with a game based on random luck, i dont think you can give 'randomness' the nickname karma.
