I've got irregular late growth spurts (I'm 19), which damn well hurt and make stretch lines on my knees. This time last year I was 6'0 and the year before that I was only 5'10. Steven Gerrard was 5'8 at 19, and he's now 6'2. He couldn't break into the first team squad because the pain in his growth would limit him to 50 minutes. Pretty amazing, really. gonpost Posted May 3, 2007 Share Posted May 3, 2007 Hah, I'm the biggest guy in my entire family (although there are two who are close). I'm 6'4" (at 18 years old), and I've been quite tall throughout most of my childhood, so luckily I didn't end up with stretch marks anywhere or a lot of pain from big growth spurts...only the occasional pains in the legs. My mom's 5'6", dad is 6'2", and sister is 5'8". My dad's side is all quite tall, with one cousin being just *barely* shorter than me, and my mom's side is all regularly sized (5'10" guys and 5'6" girls). It's nice to be tall, but not tall enough to run my head into doors...although it is weird at school dances when everyone can see me because I'm so high above everyone else, and I can't hear a dang thing because there's no one blocking the speakers from my ears. My brother, who is 19 is 6'0" (we don't have the sme father) My dad, who, is an old bag (jk, hes 46) is 6'5" My uncle who is in his late thirties is 6'5" Other uncle in his mid 30's is 6'3" Oh and my mom is 5'10". Awesome thing is, I got my growth spurt at the age of 11 (ehh just when i turned twelve) and went up to 5 foot 9 in. I'm 13 now and I've grown to around 5 ft. 11 in. or 6 ft.
