Ok guys, this form is for the discussion of the Dragon weapons.

 

I presonally think that the Dragon Battle Axe is the best of the kind. I recently purchased the Scimmy and I have been quite dissappointed with its overall performance and especially with its special attack.

 

 

 

I have tried most of the Dragon weapons excpept for the Hally and the 2h and the spear.

 

 

 

Post here with your thoughts. :o

I like the dragon 2h. I was killing thzaar with it and doing better than I was with a whip. I also like the spec in PC.

 

 

 

I personally like the dlong and mace. I'm training str right now, mainly using mace...

if you really want to search a reason for d2h, you could use it in daga tasks :P

dagger - obvious

 

mace - potentially incredibly high hitting special

 

longsword - same as mace, but with a bit less power with more accuracy

 

hally - very useful during pest control; will hit all monsters in the three squares infront of you

 

two-hander - very funny when piled, hits high

 

spear - invaluable special attack in castle wars

 

dragon battle axe - the special is almost as good as a super strength, but costs you other offensive stats

 

 

 

other than the specials, they are just upgrades of rune weapons. many people don't appreciate their specials because they see the dragon dagger's special, and think that all the other weapons should have specials just as strong.

the irony of the dagger is that nobody would think of using another kind in battle, but many worship a well-poisoned dragon dagger...

 

as for me, my mace, battle axe, and scimitar have yet to fail me

Like it's been said before me each weapon is special in it's own way except for probably the spear and 2H. I think sufficient examples have already been given for why each weapon is good.

And castlewars is practically useless, theres really no supporting argument for spears. And if people say "its fun", there are alot more fun weapons that are also effective then the spear at castlewars.

The prayer boost on the drag mace is good, but my fave is the scimmy. It's quickness makes up for the lack of power. 2nd would either be the battleaxe or dagger.

He was trying to find a usefullness for a spear. If the only supposedly usefull subject (castlewars) you are using the object (dragon spear) on is useless, wouldnt that make the spear useless? For instance, if someone made a carrying case for a slinky, wouldnt the case be as useless as the slinky itself? I know im confusing now and im putting up a bad argument, im just tired. Ill explain it better later.

Thats your opinion on the situation...but to other, the spear may be the best weapon in their opinion in CW.

 

 

 

Thats why theres multiple weapon types and classes in RS...it's a versitile game that gives each person his/her own choice rather then a clear cut best weapon.

 

 

 

Personally, I'm not a CW fan, I get bored after 3-4 games, but there are other who can play enough to get not one, but multiple gold armor sets.

Everyone seems to forget the spear's second effect: It stuns the target. Did you forget it can be poisoned as well, having equal attack stats in all categories except magic and ranged?

 

 

 

Don't diss the axe, it was the best weapon in Runescape classic. :(

forgetting 1? dragon hatchet, its spec isnt exactly a killer, if anything a fancy version of the d long taking i belive the entire spec bar, though i cant rememeber bar as i havent had 1 for quite some time (stupid povertiness)

i agree with you there. but what i notice is when i use it, i hit horribly, but if a lower lv with same armor on hits me, there doing good. its like its saying "you discarded me and im getting revenge" ahhhh! :ohnoes:

The spear has a lot of use in CW. During CW a strategy is to have a spear user standing on the last staircase to knock a flag runner back to give the barragers time to barrage.

I loved the Dragon Long when I entered Runescape. It has good specs, it is high damage weapon. Not bad speed. Before the D long, I always used the Rune long instead of the rune scitimar. So .. the D long was perfect as it was. Just a 25% spec, so 4 specs per bar.

 

 

 

Then I did some quests, you know how it goes, got some money. Tried some other weapons. At the moment, I always use D scim. But I might go back to D long sometimes, as maybe, it will make combat a bit more fun.

 

 

 

My favorite weapons are: Dragon Halberd > Dragon Longsword > Dragon Dagger > Dragon scitimar > Dragon mace > Dragon baxe > Dragon spear > Dragon 2 Handed

 

 

 

The halberd, because of its lovely damage output. I had hardtime doing 30'-specs with a DDS. But that halberd makes me do 45-50 specs. I love them. Made hellhounds so much more fun to do! :XD:

 

And well, I do not like the B axe as it is a a slow, not so very high hitting weapon. And as far as the spec considers. You get decreased attack :( So I rather use other weapons with a combat potion (or att/str if I run out of combat pot)

Ah dragon items, none of them are useless in my opinion.

 

 

 

Long is a great weapon to have when you are in the 70's till 90's, The spec hits good and you can do it 4 times.

 

Dagger is for shredding people to bits, no questions asked.

 

Battle axe is for either people who don't have huge amounts super strength pots, or forgot to take them, or don't have the herblore level. I prefer the super str pot over D baxe. But its a free super strenght.

 

Mace is a great special weapon.

 

Dragon 2 handed is by far the most fun weapon, dagganoth task, let them all gather round, pot up, prayer on, black mask on and boom, let the special kill them all.

 

 

 

I love D items. I would wear a d scimmy over a whip anyday :thumbsup:

I only use dagger and b axe, and sometimes hally, but not very often.
