Geordiequeen
I saw that article and I think it is disgusting, Anyone who pays for that sort of thing have no moral at all. It is not even like Nature because the Lions can not hunt their prey, it is delivered straight to them and then they can not even eat it. Talk about disgusting and cruel. swordwindtrtrtrt
Its the same kind of thing as bear-baiting and cockfighting, which are now illegal and with good reason. TotalTalker
Its obviously all for the money, because if it wasnt, then wouldnt they kill the cow in a less painful way? I mean would you rather get killed by being hunted down by lions in front of a laughing audience, or be put to sleep peacfully?

Sure it's not a nice way to die but in the end, they're just cows. Thanks Venomai for this super sig and Kwimbob for the awesome avatar!

It is not even like Nature because the Lions can not hunt their prey, it is delivered straight to them and then they can not even eat it. Talk about disgusting and cruel. Would you find it disgusting and cruel if a pack of lions/tigers/whatever slashed and mauled an antelope to death in nature? Or what about if a pack of lions lived in a drought ravaged area with little no no food and slowly starved to death because mother nature took away thier food? I can't help but feel everyone who comes in here whose immediate reaction is that this is cruel, brutal, immoral or whatever either dosen't really know much about the animal kingdom or needs to losen the emotional stranglehold on thier brain. Oh and less sweeping generalisations about people who pay to see an animal get killed having no morals would be great, thanks. Call me crazy, but I'm sure someone who hates cows and works in a slaughterhouse could maybe, possibly have some morals as could these chinese people. highlanders
In the wild, lions kill quickly their prey, without excessive suffering. In this case, many lions won't have any problem killing the cow very quickly. I don't see what's the big deal, all felines kill innocent animals in the wild. I could think of more important issues, such as the Darfur genocide. 2480+ total
mcneilp
Its pretty dumb.. I was just watching something on the discovery channel about chicks (baby chikens) and how they are sent of to farms in mass. They go through an assembly line just like everyday items that has conveyor belts which sort them (all the time while they are alive) and they are then dropped into boxes that contain 180 of them almost on top of eachother. Sorry I got off topic... but it kinda relates to animal rights. Done a double take there, thought you were talkin about girls... Yeah, i dont think it is very good, $100 for a piece of cow that has been mauled by a group of lions. (A) Not much left to eat...dont get your moneys worth (B) Dont agree with the animal rights side of this, the cow shouldn't be killed in this way and surely it would make more financial sense for the guy doin it to just shoot the cow...more meat to sell and he doesn't have a herd of lions to feed :-s It isn't in the castle, It isn't in the mist, It's a calling of the waters, As they break to show, The new Black Death, With reactors aglow, Do you think your security, Can keep you in purity, You will not shake us off above or belowScottish frictionScottish fiction
TotalTalker
But the cow wouldnt of got killed if it wasnt for the people putting it in the same pen as the lions. You wouldnt call someone placing a cow in a pack of lions nature, they are basically killing the cow for money.

Its just a case of not giving it to them pre sliced on a silver platter. Mercifull <3 Suzi "We don't want players to be able to buy their way to success in RuneScape. Heaven forbid we offend PETA hyprocrites...I mean members. You're allowed to call PETA members hypocrites. PETA doesn't want anything less than the banning of pets for a start and most PETA members have cats and dogs, plus the second in command takes insulin. Insulin developed from animal testing. Theres no excuse. Hypocrites. Mercifull <3 Suzi "We don't want players to be able to buy their way to success in RuneScape. If we let players start doing this, it devalues RuneScape for others. JordanGM
I'd pay 100$ to see a bear and a lion fight. And anyways, cows get killed in more horrific ways..

Somewhere in Texas they have a slush food factory to tin it and feed it as slop to some animals, they literally (no joke) lead cows into a variation of a shredder. Quit Runescape 30th May 2006.Thanks to Hawkxs for my signature :)
