June 5, 200719 yr Stupid NY subways weren't announcing their stops for some reason and this blind woman missed her stop to get off. She started asking people where she was sure enough nobody answered as if she were dumb or something, so I decided to help the woman out. Got her to the proper train station had her follow the sound of my voice and she knew her way from the spot I got her she told me, but I followed her anyway to make sure she made it home alright. She told me I was welcome to stop by anytime I like for being so nice. It feels good to have helped someone else who was really in need of help and I've made a new friend out of it =)
June 5, 200719 yr Wow, thats really nice of you! Good to see some people will go out of there way to help others :D
June 5, 200719 yr Well done Tear. I know what you mean by it feeling good. It always feels good to help someone in need.. Unless they take advantage of you.. Internet Marketing For Newbies
June 5, 200719 yr Well I wouldn't have helped. Strangers and all that stuff. But it's nice to not fall into that "All strangers are evil." mentality. I applaud you.
June 5, 200719 yr If only there were more people like you. Exactly. ^_^ Always try your best to be kind to people. No matter what happens.
June 5, 200719 yr "Newsflash - It was a horrible night. A blind woman, apparently led out to nowhere by a crazed teen, was murdered in a local New York gang fight." That's what I thought of when I read that - Only character in Runescape History maxed out in RSC and RS2
June 5, 200719 yr That is beautiful I love hearing about good deeds like that. It made me smile :D The only people who tell you that you can't do something are those who have already given up on their own dreams so feel the need to discourage yours.
June 5, 200719 yr society cant do crap to help the unfortunate nowadays. :( i hope the blind women has thanked your kindness to her.
June 5, 200719 yr It's a sad reflection on our society when this kind of deed warrants special mention, it should be common place. But that takes nothing away from you, well done for doing the right thing. :) "Da mihi castitatem et continentam, sed noli modo"
June 5, 200719 yr It's a sad reflection on our society when this kind of deed warrants special mention, it should be common place. But that takes nothing away from you, well done for doing the right thing. :)You have echoed my thaughts. TBH althought it was kind of you, I do similar things but simply dont bother to really mention them to anyone because I would just expect it of myself. And it just shows what an unfriendly city New York is.
June 5, 200719 yr I helped a blind woman in Manchester go meet her friends one time. I was shocked she could use the train and everything perfectly she just needs a little direction. With so many trees in the city you could see the spring coming each day until a night of warm wind would bring it suddenly in one morning. Sometimes the heavy cold rains would beat it back so that it would seem that it would never come and that you were losing a season out of your life. But you knew that there would always be the spring as you knew the river would flow again after it was frozen. When the cold rains kept on and killed the spring, it was as though a young person had died for no reason. In those days though the spring always came finally but it was frightening that it had nearly failed.
June 5, 200719 yr "Newsflash - It was a horrible night. A blind woman, apparently led out to nowhere by a crazed teen, was murdered in a local New York gang fight." Same here omg OT: Well done =] A friend to all is a friend to none.
June 5, 200719 yr It's a sad reflection on our society when this kind of deed warrants special mention, it should be common place. But that takes nothing away from you, well done for doing the right thing. :) Thanks for putting it in a much nicer way than I would have. But to be honest, despite what people think of society, this does happen everyday; someone does this everyday. They do it because they want to help, not for forum +rep. This is how much you all raised for charity. Thank you.
June 5, 200719 yr I help my uncle all the time. But I guess in your case it's a little different  . Good job. Trix.--quit WoW as of 12/07Thank you 4be2jue for the wonderful sig and avatar!
June 5, 200719 yr Good for you that you helped someone in need. Shame on you that you're telling people about it for ego-boosting praise. "In so far as I am Man I am the chief of creatures. In so far as I am a man I am the chief of sinners." - G.K. Chesterton
June 5, 200719 yr Author Good for you that you helped someone in need. Shame on you that you're telling people about it for ego-boosting praise.Ego-boosting praise? No actually I'm not. I brought this up for discussion, I could care less about the messages I get telling me how good of a job I did. This just happened to be the first incident where I really helped someone who was in a real need of help. You may think what you like to think, as long as I know what is right in my mind is all that matters.
June 5, 200719 yr Your cool 8-) I hate people who just sit there and ignore people like that.... For instance, if i cant give money to a homeless person i say so, i dont walk past and ignore them..... Quit Runescape 30th May 2006.Thanks to Hawkxs for my signature :)
June 6, 200719 yr Good for you that you helped someone in need. Shame on you that you're telling people about it for ego-boosting praise. Big egos usually stink obviously in a post i.e. a post will reek of ego. I don't think this guy's opening post does to be honest.
June 6, 200719 yr I love the feeling when you just help someone who really needs it. Just cheers you up completely. Right place, right times and luckly you were there. Quit RuneScape :)
June 6, 200719 yr I love to give more than receive. I know, it's weird, but the expression on one's face when you give them something is entirely worth it. :D Me doing staff.
