Eonrogue Posted June 20, 2007 Share Posted June 20, 2007 i recently did the final battle for rfd and i used a rune xbow and jade (e) bolts to fight it. Let me just say holy shiznit. I originally tired the run and shoot thing with the shortbow and iron arrows, didnt work to well (also forgot ice gloves) so i grabbed my xbow and bolts and stood my ground and shot it. Maxed out meleers can't even come close to getting the kill on kbd when I'm ranging it. Yay I got a pic of a 40. I was reading the RSOF and found this thread on crossbows [15-16-912-46020411]. Mod Maz says in it (the person who coded the Xbows and bolts) that each enchanted bolt works particulary well on certain type of beast, and that we will have to find their strenghths. I think we should all continue testing bolts on different types of monsters to find a weakness, and then use that to our advantage. Quit RS to play real games. :P Bye TIF, miss you. Or if I don't pray, 19s with 74 range :thumbsup: I haven't tried addy or runite bolts yet, but I can also hit 14s with pearl-tipped bolts without prayer or the special effect, and their base metal is.. IRON :shock: I also know of a friend who used the ruby (e) bolts on the king black draggy. The special effect is to drain 10% of your health and drain 20% of your enemies...so he hit a 48! :twisted: Crossbows are pure ownage now. Every one like to say how high they hit, but can't find anyone saying total damage per hour. The only ones I see worth using are steel, iron and bronze bolts. How good are those compared to a MSB with corresponding arrows? And how good are they compared to a crystal bow? I'm also surprised by the little information available yet, the only thing posted is how good they are for pking and high hits, nothing about training.
