June 23, 200719 yr Pre-Load Metallica, Megadeth, Iron Maiden, Pantera, Trivium (their newer stuff is cool), Dream Theater, POD. Those are some metal...from like thrash to nu-metal. I really wouldn't call it an era. It was more of a definitive time period during which dinstinctive characteristics were expressed in similar ways.

June 24, 200719 yr I'm totally into Machine Head right now. I bought the blackening the other day and it kicks wagon. Incredible band. The best in terms of popularity must be Pre-load Metallica, almost every metal head will tell you that. Thanks Venomai for this super sig and Kwimbob for the awesome avatar!

June 24, 200719 yr Trivium (their newer stuff is cool), . Now you see I prefer Asendancy whilst the Crusade is quite good(although much better live) it jujst doesnt compare to Asendancy mainly because they dropped the screaming.

IMO Ember To Inferno was their best. Musically, Ascendancy was better, but they dropped a lot of their thrashiness for a more watered-down metalcore approach. The Crusade brought the thrashiness back, but the vocals ruined it for me... Metal fans, check out my band!Still the King....
