occ51
IMO Dragonforce is the best. these are also good though: Nightwish Sonata Artica Arch Enemy The older stuff from Metallica is okay i guess
glasscube
Emperor Immortal Dimmu Borgir (For All Tid and Stormblast, I like their older stuff better) Satyricon (I don't mind listening to Now, Diabloical but its just not my cup of tea) Amon Amarth Behemoth Opeth Ancient Arch Enemy Arcturus At The Gates Borknagar Burzum Dark Tranquility Slayer I'd be hard pressed to say which was my favourite, but looking at which was most played during the past week, I'd have to say Arcturus or Borknagar. I'm not even going to get into the conversation of which metal band is the best, considering there are like one bajillion sub genres... xXru1n3dXx
^In Flames isn't too bad at all IMO. But anyway, i'll just say 2: Agalloch - I love their work. They are like a mixture of doom metal, black metal, folk as well as progressive metal. Simply put dark metal. Amorphis - Just an awesome metal band from Finland. They were originally death but have evolved into just normal heavy metal now with a little bit of melodic death. Ragen
What? Metallica and Megadeth are classics, but Korn isn't metal, Nirvana isn't metal, nor is most of the rest... I'd say that some of Korn's stuff is nu-metal. 'Here to Stay' is an absolute killer song. My knowledge of them is limited to their greatest hits CD by the way. Thanks Venomai for this super sig and Kwimbob for the awesome avatar!
