I saw it too, you forgot to mention how he gets knifed! hahaha, anyway I wish the world would do something like that but sadly it doesnt work out like that.

I hope you get stabbed [bleep].

if that isn't the nicest thing to say =p...

Well added your link in my siggy.

seriously i hope he gets stabbed, he laughs when someone gets stabbed even tho its in a movie..

I'm pretty sure laughing at someone who got stabbed in a movie is a lot less bad then hoping someone thats in real life gets stabbed bud. Anyways, PAY IT FORWARD! :D

I think the actual moral of this movie was that if you try to help people, you'll get smoked by a car and die.

Just sayin'.

Thats the kind of vibe I got according to these guys explanation. :P

Needless to say, I'm not gettin' stabbed! -.-

Yeah, he dies. Pretty dumb..

And fakeit, it oubviously won't happen if you have that kinda attitude lol.

I always hated the ending of that movie :?

Well as much as I'd love for it to work, theres a simple reason that it won't. The fact of life is that a ton of people don't really care about helping other people and that they would just "steal" your favor. It has also been tried before proving that as nie of an idea as it would be, it simply has to many flaws in it.

Hmmm this topic is back up again? And for the freakin record, you guys who say I should get stabbed are such hypocrites and pigs, I joke about the ending of a MOVIE and you wish death upon me in real life.

But anyway even if you pay it forward to one person, haven't you already changed the world cuz thats one more person thats been helped.

I just went out the rented the DVD, jumped on TIF, and you killed the whole movie for me, thanks alot.

The ending pretty much summed up the world; If you try to help people out of good will just because you want to help, the world will not appreciate you... It has too many wicked people.

Heck, I'm not religious.. And I really don't believe in supernaturality.. But look at what happened to Jesus. He wasn't exactly a "bad" guy, devoting his entire life to helping the sick and the poor.

The Romans couldn't just understand the concept of altruist helping/ accept he was doing it for the people, not for himself, so they accused him of trying to gain personal power, blasphemy, usurping, etc... And they spat on him, flogged him, humiliated, mutilated and ultimately crucified him with common criminals.

Sure the kid's case in this movie was a bit different, but he died trying to help someone else who was weak and innocent. Yeah, the world can really be a .... place, even if you try to change it for the better, people are skeptical and will eventually end up killing or conspiring against you for some god-forsaken reason.

Heh, maybe we are all delusional.. I look at the world around me and think: Maybe we are already in 'hell'.

IMO the point of the movie is to make people stop being such douche bags. For example, you can actually wait a little bit and hold the door instead of seeing someone run up to the closing elevator in which you are in and not make it, or hold a door if you see somebody with full hands, instead of letting go and by that slamming a door into them, or helping someone in trouble, instead of standing aside and laughing, or if the person is asking for directions, not being an [wagon] and pointing the opposite way the place is in. (Like some people do)

But those things are all really funny.

We try to help people, and you just make jokes about it. Lame jokes at that.

I find the american society really twisted sometimes. I have never been in another country in which people would even think it's remotely "funny" to let a door slam on an old man/woman who's trying to carry his shopping bags home. Quite on the contrary, they'd start giving you flak about being such an idiot, at least in Europe.

In middle-eastern or far-east countries? Not a chance they'll think you're humorous...

Life isn't a big movie. When you ask someone for directions, you'd probably wish someone can help you, not make fun of you by pointing in the opposite direction. I don't lack a sense of humor, I just don't see how that's "funny". (Other than if you're 3 years old)

Hey, thanks for ruining the ending! I'm sure everyone who hasn't seen the movie really wanted that obnoxious "too bad he gets knifed lol" in their faces. You guys couldn't have bothered to place spoiler tags or whatever they're called on the ending bit of the post? :|

Yes, I've seen the movie. Very recently, actually. Great movie. Sad ending. :(

I wish the world could be changed just like that, but realistically I don't think that'll happen.

Actually, this was on TNT a few months ago and I watched maybe the last 30 minutes because I wanted to see the ending because of these posts. Wanted to see if they were kidding or what. But the concept just can't get past the conception stage, people aren't really that willing to help.
