Well, back last september I got a black mark for rule 1. I sent in an appeal, and it was denied for really no reason at all. They said, "We know you were in control of the account" What does that have to do with anything?

 

Anyway I checked back today and it said 0.5 black marks.

 

 

 

Forgive me, but I quit back in November-Decemberish area. This is also my first black mark, since when can you have 0.5 black marks?

 

A glitch or did they just tone down the offense a bit?

i have 4.3 black marks so i guess it's normal...

Yeah, you can now receive fractions of blackmarks. And basically, appeals are only to prove that you weren't in control of the account at the time, apoligising doesn't really do much.

I have 1.6 black marks and I bet I have a chance to be a player moderator just like you, I'm an honest player who just went over the edge with the language a little... I report infractions when I see them too. :lol: But yeah they have a more "official" system now, makes it look more like they keep track of your offenses, which they do.

If you have 2+ black marks you have no chance. If you have 1 it ok but 2+ you have no chance. I just think that it would be cool. I also have a lot of friend who are p mods, they want me to join *The Dark Side*

that's another reason for which i don't like pmods. they either want the power or the crown. sure i like the crown, but i wouldn't hamper my playing just to get it. pmods aren't supposed to go after the status, just be good and suddenly become one.

to check your account for black marks you go to the appeal offence/ban section on the main page and log in it will then tell you how many black makes you have

unlike what people believe, if a mod reports you the report is still reviewed, albeit with a little bias towards the mod. you can still report scammers if you're not a mod, not being a mod doesn't mean you can't report people.

mods just have privelage of having their reports read first by jagex.

 

Basically they have the same actions, only it is done in a swifter way.

 

Also, they have it easy buying stuff in world 2 lol.

he probably got the offenses after the crown, i think the limit is 5 before even busting a huge goldfarming website and a bunch of macroers won't get you modship.

+1 I agree. I have 0.0 blackmarks too. And I'm not like those people that go out of their way to become p mods for the power. I hate those kinda p mods.

Being a mod would be good and bad for some reasons.

 

 

 

Pros

 

Easy selling at world 2

 

Using power to cleanse rs

 

Having a crown

 

A symbol of matureness

 

 

 

Cons

 

People asking for free stuff

 

Thinking of excuses to politely turn them down

 

People asking for a big help (walking through somone for a quest)

 

Naturally being bothered and talking less often

 

Chance of being hanged in F2p

 

 

 

For myself, i wont mind surprising my friends as another person said, or having the ability to have power over someone (rude\bad\nubbie) other then owning them with dds.
