i'd rather spend $600 at a casino in las Vegas, or some hookers, or narcotics, than buy an ipone.

Can you justify your feelings toward the iphone?

Personally, its not worth the money right now to me. I have no use for a cellphone, let a lone this beast of a phone. I do imagine that it is pretty awesome, but the thing is its just like the ps3. All these functions, but it costs so much.

just buy an mp3 player(much bigger than 8gb), and a normal phone?

only thing you might have trouble finding is a web-browser capable phone, but i've heard the one on the iphone isn't that great anyway. I have nothing against apple, they have wonderful products, but they milk the consumer for everything, just watch what kind of accessories that come out for this phone and the price of the accessories.

My cell phone has all the features i need, The iphone is way overpriced, Everyone who buys one on ebay for over a grand is one of the following, very rich or very stupid...The price will fall along with the demand just like the Ps3 and wii....Once the iphone has been out for a year or so the price on it will also drop, just like the Ipod...I mean who cares if someone pulls an Iphone out of there pocket, WHOOPY-.-...

Just like most other new "gadgets" that come out....

WAY OVER RATED..

If I had a spare $600 I'd buy it, looks awesome.

A friend to all is a friend to none.

Finding a web-capable phone is not hard at all. I could probably pick both the MP3 player and the phone up for less than 700AU which is well under the cost of an iPhone in converted dollars.

Just figured I'd point out that unlike the ps3 the wii is still in pretty high demand. Almost all of the major retail stores of the USA are still out of stock online and at the store.

On topic, I think that the iphone is a great idea. However, just like every piece of new technology that is innovative and amazing. It will most likely have all of the things fixed and run smoother and faster for the same price, or maybe even less, in a few years. But for right now? I'd have to say the iphone just isn't worth the price right now. When everything gets fixed and it runs better then yes I'd say if you have at&t or need a new phone then go for it.

Isn't worth relative? All these features are bundled into one tight package in a product that no other companies have put out yet. So to some people that's not a lot of money, it's useful, it's a status symbol, and it'd be worth it. And some people it's the opposite. I think it's pretty cool, but if I do get it I'd wait a year or two until it drops and they make it better.

It's a mp3, internet, read videos, takes photos, and a cellphone.

Mp3: I already have an ipod, and most people already have a mp3 player.

Internet: everyone already has a computer for that, and atleast it's on a big screen, not a tiny iphone screen

Read videos: Just use a computer, you don't look at videos all day do you?

Take photos: Buy a numeric camera, better resolution, better prints, better everything.

Cellphone: Again, most people who want a cellphone already have one.

For me, and most people, it's a waste, only for hardcore technolifers.

I can already do everything it offers, for half the price. So, why buy an ugly phone just so I can do it all in one place?

Oooh, you think it's ugly?

Ghost: I am prejudice towards ignorance, so that would explain why I appear to be so.

Of course a lot of people have most of those already, but apple is the first company to put them all together in a portable touch screen phone. That's what people are paying for, the portability of it all, among other things.

I went to the apple store today to check these out. They had 3 to touch n play around with. Honestly, it was awsome. I was half blown away. I expected this to be one of those 'psp' or 'n-gage' gadget failures. Not at all. If your thinking its like a clumsy blackberry, its not. Compared to all those other pda's, palm pilot, cell-phone, email combos, this is 100x better. Its slick and not clumsy at all like all the other ones. It definitely is worth it if your looking for an all in one. Everyone saying its a 'gadget' and 'i already have one'.... you dont and its not. There really isnt any other thing like this out there.

Would I pay 600 bucks for it? No. I dont need all that, but if your a businessman who needs it, this is definitely the way to go.

According to Time Magizine, I believe I read this is the first actual IE on a phone [or whatever it uses that computers also use]

i hate using ipod ear buds, and ear buds in general. HATE HATE HATE

im sure im not the only one. see how they already sucker you into buying accessories.

PS. i did a little research, and i think its using Mozilla 5.0 for the browser.

As I said, other things can do what the iphone does, and much better at that. Portability is only useful if you feel the need to have all those things at all times, technolifers. Imo it's pretty lame to "need" all those things at all times, damn they need to get a life.

For all technical purposes, Opera Mobile is a full-fledged browser. It's mobile technology - and just because it isn't equal to the PC version of Opera does not make it a cut back version. Optimized for a different platform, and it works in exactly the same way.

How is it not free like the normal opera?

goldenblade995.png

What does the Apple Iphone do that a Nokia N95 can,t?

OT: Opera Mobile mini is free and is more capable then most, if not all other mobile browsers.

Na I wouldn't buy it, I like my phone at the moment, but I still think the iphone is pretty awesome.

I though however has noticed on ebay Aus that there's heaps of people buying domain names such as iphoneaccessories.com or greatiphonegames.com and stuff like that and are going for heaps on ebay. That's a pretty smart way to make easy money I reckon. :)
