200M Experience In A Skill - The New 99?

Featured Replies

A few years ago, a 99 skill was a dream of many people, only the best of the best had a 99 skill. Now it's changed, 99 skills are very common, people even go as far to call people noobs for being a high leveled person without a skill cape. Of course, this is only natural as the game progesses and evolves day by day.

The question is, what will take it's place, what will become as famous as the level 99 skill was? In my opinion it's 200m experience. The ultimate goal, top of the top, where a skill can be raised no longer, the max a player can train a skill, more and more people are reaching the 200m mark. Soon every skill will have reached 200m xp. What then? Will 200m experience the new 99, the ultimate goal for players? The achievement that makes people famous

Small adding to the post :

I'll also post a quick list of the amount of people who have 200m experience in a certain skill.

Attack - 1

Def - 1

Ranged - 1

Cooking - 9

Woodcutting - 1

Fletching - 6

Firemaking - 1

Thieving - 6

Hunter - 1 (Just noticed, didn't know anyone had it yet, congratz Momeydragon on the achievement :)!)

So in total that makes 23 people who have 200m experience in one or two skills, wich is quite insane.

Some people dream of success, while others make it happen.

I think most people probably don't have the patience or endurance to get 200m exp in one skill, its a massive increase from 99.

Dragon Drops: D spear x 2, D skirt, D half-shield, D axe, D 2h

Barrows Rewards: Ahrims hood, Karil's Coif, half key x 6, D med, torags legs, veracs flail

Yep, I half agree, but I half disagree. Most people rather go for 99 in multipile skills as opposed to 200m xp in one skill. Most people only have the paitence for 1 200m xp skill anyway, let alone the paitence for a variety of 99's. Im guessing only around 100 players will get 200m xp in, say, cooking or fletching over the next 2 years.

However a few skills will stay goals at 99, such as crafting, smithing, slayer, runecrafting, and construction. These are among the most expensive skills or most time consuming.

Strictly quoted for truth. Unless this skill's giving me oodles of enjoyable playtime and/or profit ingame, why should I bother getting it past 13M experience?

If you have every skill at 99 it's a possibilty, not only for experience, but also for ranks, since you're certain to be in the front page once you hit 200m xp. But some people just enjoy doing that one certain skill.

That's admirable. But I [personally] don't have much desire to become an instant attention-magnet to players when I'm trying to sell things in Varrock/Falador/Seers, if you see what I'm getting at.

Overlooked that one, thanks.

Keep posting.

no.

I don't even consider that an achievement.

It's basically a statistical way of saying "I play this game way too much"

especially for the ones who have mutiple 99s with way over the 13 mil xp mark

personally unless all my skills are 99 i prob won't attempt 200m in 1 skill.. I really don't see it as much of an accomplishment.. I mean it is but yet its not.. 200m exp in 1 skill if you divide that between all skills you could have all skills 94.. I don't know personally i don't see the point unless your completely maxed out or have an intense love for the skill... lol

Who do you guys think will be the first person with all maxed out skills?? Im thinkin Zezima but... there are others

If this did emerge as the new great achievement, i think jagex should add an extra effect the correspoding skill cape.

They have the pixel copasity to make a fire cape "flow" even with all the bugs it has/had. I think that the skill cape of a person with 200m xp should have stars gently floating off of it in an endless stream. Nice and slow and soft on the eyes <3:

First of all, let me throw Zot Muske a congratulations, with a first - a post that actually made me think a little.

That hasn't happened for a long while.

Now statistically, 200M is over 15 times 13.03M, like 99ing a skill 15 times over. Of course that notes two important facts. The first is that it's easy to get over 1M xp in a single day in several of those skills, which only means its a matter of time (and money) before the highscores will reflect that.

The make (x) options will make it much less time consuming and tedious to get these levels, so it decreases the chance of someone getting burned out.

This means that the RS2 and PC products among us can be expected to get 99 in levels quickly, but only those people that play the game for skill in skills sake can get to the 200M mark, and the new rules have ensured that they can.

And as always, jagex needs to recognize and reward that.

so there's this thread in p2p general called "the most annoying things ppl do on runescape" i am tempted to post "ya wen im cybering with a girl and they log off for no reason"

I believe you are correct in this discovery. It seems that the "top of the top" players, as you put it, seek maxing out skills in a whole other sense now. I doubt the vast majority of players will have this as their new goal (I'm simply peachy with aiming for 13 million xp in mining right now :?), but those who are of legendary proportions would very possibly take this on as their new challenge. I do not see much appeal in achieving such a goal though. At that point there is nothing left in the game to do besides getting rich or doing quests (which 99% of these players have most likely already done).

True, but a 99 lvl'd skill is only 13m xp and can be beaten easily now-a-days. A maxed out 200m xp skill, you cannot go higher or lower in your position.

You should get it past 13m so you can get 99 in the level :-w

i dont really think that 200M should be a 99 max out, because few have even gotten there in 4 years. but still. at 200M i think it should be like some kind of invisible level. something like that i dunno

Ralvn.png

ha he finaly got the 200mill exp for attack :D when i quit 6 months ago he was only at 100mill or so

and 200mil hunter that takes skill

200mill is the new 99 because to many people are getting 99
