Seriously, I recon half of the city centre population is foreign. British cities and American cities are very similar anyway, so you won't have much trouble adjusting at all. Britain as a country is pretty diverse though, and the futher north you travel, the more you will notice this. The accents change (to the point where you may have problems understanding what's being said, especially in Merseyside, Newcastle and Glasgow). Anyway, forget all the stereotypes that we live in towers and castles or in depressing streets with cobbled roads. Englands a beautiful country at places because of our history mainly, and it's a hell of a lot of fun! WRONG UG! The union jack is this: The UK is great. The South is so much better than the north in my honest opinion. Having moved around the country ALOT of times in just 13 years. Born in scotland :). Now Live in souther England. Anyway. With so many trees in the city you could see the spring coming each day until a night of warm wind would bring it suddenly in one morning. Sometimes the heavy cold rains would beat it back so that it would seem that it would never come and that you were losing a season out of your life. But you knew that there would always be the spring as you knew the river would flow again after it was frozen. When the cold rains kept on and killed the spring, it was as though a young person had died for no reason.
