July 18, 200719 yr Ok, I know I am not an active poster at all on these forums, although I do read most new topics. Now I have noticed a lot of people asking for help on the "fastest" way to gain xp in stats. I really don't understand this. Why do so many people just want there stats high. I mean ya, its nice. But I would much rather have my stats pretty high and be rich. Now yes, i do agree some stats the fastest way may be the best way to make money, or it still makes some money. I personally always go the route that makes the most money, even if it means taking a bit longer. And if there is no way to make money in the stat, I choose the way that will hit my bank the least. And if it is a very profitable skill then I might buy the stuff i need. So now my question to all that read this and have an opinion. Which do you prefer when taking up stats, the fastest route (normally less money), or the slower route (normally a lot more money)?
July 18, 200719 yr Fastest usually, or second fastest, as I have about 11m in my bank. For cons, oaks. I'm not rich enough to train my cons with mahog. :
July 18, 200719 yr Author so, what do you like take all your stats up and then how do you make more money to take your stats up more, because you must eat through money rather quickly?
July 18, 200719 yr since im always broke...i always take the most money-making way *or almost always). For example, if i want 53 hunter and im 46 atm, ill hunt kebbits for [bleep]es so i can make bolts for my hunter crossbow. if i train theiving i usually theive bloods from the chest or chaos from the paladins (when i can get it) So basically i dont go for speed, and im proud of it.
July 18, 200719 yr Author i don't either, and most the time people ask me how I have so much money or why i spend so much money on my house. Its because I made a lot of money through doing stats. Thats how I am able to spend 13m on my house and not flinch.
July 18, 200719 yr I'm only f2p, but I prefer to balance it a bit. I have my goals, like getting all 99's in my stats, but that is a ways off yet. So getting xp as quickly and efficiently as possible, is a must for me. But at the same time, I also want to one day own some kind of rare, so making money at the same time is a must. If you know of anyways to do both, in f2p, I'm all ears... So for me, it all depends on the skill I'm training I guess at the time. But I'm not in it to just accomplish stats or money. I'm in it for fun as well.
July 18, 200719 yr To me, the only use of money is to increase the speed of raising my stats. I work out the most cost effective way of raising my stats and use my money to that end. Capone Sabre since April 2001.99 Attack, Defence, Strength and Hitpoints Achieved January 2005. When it still meant something.
July 18, 200719 yr I go with the middle route. I like to train one skill so that it either is free, makes me money, pays into another skill, or any combination of those. For example: I mined 7.4k Iron ores for 60 Mining. I collected all my own rubies from mining, randoms, and thieving wall safes for the Rings of Forging. I smelted all those ores into iron bars. Then, I made 35k Iron knives with all those bars. And finally, those can be used for ranging later on. :D Self sufficiency is the key to success! ~Lunar Retired Tip.It Mod || Admin and Founder of Caesar 3 Mod Squad! All are welcome!

July 19, 200719 yr I usually try to find ways i still make profit or break even, even tho i haev 90m.. i hate losing cash :P
July 19, 200719 yr I like to have a nice pile of gp sitting in my bank, however when skill training I prefer to spend it rather than take other tedious routes to get my stats higher.
July 19, 200719 yr I woulod prefer experience, as at extremely high levels, you become completely (well, almost) self-sufficient. 99 fishing and cooking? No more buying food. 99 farming and Herblore? Hello, plenty of potions. Etc, etc. :) catch it now so you can like it before it went so mainstream

July 19, 200719 yr When I really want to train a skill, I do it the fast way but if I need money, I don't want to train a skill. You're being watched.
