I've disconnected at metal dragons twice and been fine. Usually it just takes it as logging out. I hope I don't have a disconnect at barrows or else I stand to lose:

I find it annoying. I do think you should put it into consideration though.. As for me, I won't have to worry too much because I am fighting level 35 Flesh Crawlers. Although, I do worry about random events..

He might stay for multiple runs? Not everyone does one run and teleports out.

Just think of it as a moment where the poor can be rich in a matter of seconds.

I hate it when I try and log out but instead the game will say "Connection Lost - Attempting to Re-establish"

 

I mean, duh! Of course the connection is lost! I logged out! :evil: :wall:

Um, Sorry but.. Woudlnt it be just as fast to tele to Ardy, and walk back into the dungeon?

 

Rather than.. Walk all the way back through the dungeon, up the stairs, south to the general store, then back north, back into the dungeon?

 

The time saved from banking would be less than 30 seconds? Not to mention you could recharge prayer in ardy allowing you to stay longer?

 

 

 

Looks like your risking all those noted items for saving 30 seconds of walking time?

I believe that like someone said earlier lost connection is like a natural disaster, all you can do is prepare for it to happen.

 

 

 

And really, how much is that extra +3 mage defence or +3 range bonus going to help? Your going to risk millions for a bonus that isnt likley to change your preformance much if at all?

 

 

 

You should always prepare for the worst. Unless your playing a safe minigame, never wear what your not prepared to lose, unless you know you will keep it.

 

 

 

Snakeskin boots work great for me. I wear them over rangers 95% of the time. And if I lose them? loss of like 3k. No biggie. The time you lose with the less bonuses heavly outweights the time of working to buy another pair of expensive items.

I'm not really sure what you are trying to say, but what I do is swap my noted food for unoted food at the Morton general store, then use some of a prayer pot to recharge some of my prayer. I've never heard of the technique which involves going through the dungeon in witchhaven to get to barrows, but even if I did do this technique the walking time would be increased by a lot more and would take more like 3 minutes not 30 seconds.

I had that problem when I downloaded AVG, check if your anti-virus isn't doing scheduled scans on its own, that will lag up runescape.

 

 

 

Yep, my lag and disconnect problems began as soon as I got AVG. It coincided with the last game engine update so I wasn't sure who to blame it on.

I've found that the servers near where I live never do this while other servers halfway around the world always do this. Now I'm sticking in world 90 and I get no lag and don't get dced. Also, try not to use theme worlds. They add extra lag. Tried world 16... I had horrible lag while making mith bars in al kharid.

Lag cannot be helped, Jagex plays a small part in it but it is mostly your computer/ ISP. For example, my computer has around 10x the minimum requirments that Jagex posted (its new, so I went all out and paid around $6000), but I still lag once in a while because my internet service provider is garbage.

 

 

 

I'm switching ISP's as soon as my current contract runs out, only 6 months to go. :wall:

Happened today just after I attacked a Lesser. Couldn't log back in for a while because I was already logged in. Fortunately was high enough health to nail the Lesser and had been long enough to get them to stop auto attacking.

 

 

 

 

 

Other than that, lags are normally caused by your internet connection. PC speed has nothing to do with it. If you are on a shared connection (e.g., DSL), then your speed would be affected by others also using the connection.

 

 

 

Clan Chat may have increased the risk of lag on full servers, but I'm sure they would have thought through that scenario.
