August 13, 200718 yr On august 13 gave some worlds tags, two worlds are trade world, theres a world for pc, a world for fight pits and on and on. My question is are we going to use jagex's worlds or stay the same and still use world 2 for trading and world 66 for nat running ect. ? Poll stay the same- go with jagex's worlds- change some worlds-
August 13, 200718 yr You mean they changed around the worlds? Lol...I'll just go to whatever world has the most people in it. :D EDIT: It's actually not that bad. They used most of the original worlds, plus a few extra to spread things around. Nothing wrong with that. There's even a role-playing server now.
August 13, 200718 yr People will still keep using the original worlds no matter what Jagex says. Jagex just have to use the current worlds as the Activity World. (they've already done a pretty good job however, but a few more tweaks and worlds are needed) "The cry of the poor is not always just, but if you never hear it you'll never know what justice is."
August 13, 200718 yr I'd go with the world jagex has chosen, there's no difference expect a different world number. Of course, by doing this, Jagex has stripped from us players from the right to choose which world we use for what. It's not important, but it's still a right they have removed us. If you're angry about it, keep using the old worlds, it's a nice way to show you disagree with them taking that right away from you. Problem is, a lot of players have decided to use Jagex's worlds, so the old official worlds will probably become bad worlds as time goes on. Ultimately, it's the majority of the player population who will decide of this. And since most players are utter idiots unable to find out the official worlds for things without Jagex's help, chances are Jagex's worlds will win this little ideologic war. 2480+ total
August 13, 200718 yr The more experienced players will use the worlds they like. But I think the new players shall stick to the "official" worlds because they think they will have better chances there.
August 13, 200718 yr I think Jagex is trying. I read a thread on the RSOF complaining about there being no distinguishing feature between Duel Arena Staking and fun duel worlds. On about page seven of it Paul posted saying that he fixed it. :P
August 13, 200718 yr I don't see any reason why not to use Jagex's worlds. If what you want is a lot of people playing the minigame, then you certainly have that with Jagex's worlds, since everyone that plays the game, including people who don't go on fansite forums, sees those official world tags. If you want significantly less people, then you can of course just keep using the old 'official' worlds. Either way, I don't see a downside to this. Though, it kind of irritates me that Jagex didn't include either world 1 or 2 as the official trade worlds, when those are VERY well known trade worlds.
August 14, 200718 yr Though, it kind of irritates me that Jagex didn't include either world 1 or 2 as the official trade worlds, when those are VERY well known trade worlds. The reason they did that is probably to disperse the runescape population a little more so they'll start trading in different worlds. They don't want the game's two crowd est worlds to get even more crowded. They'd be impossible to get into.

August 16, 200718 yr I dont' see why people wouldn't use the newly assigned themed worlds. I don't think we appreciate how many people don't use fan sites, or at least don;t use fansites at a level where they would disscover worlds that are unofficily used for some activity. This was shown in the massive jump in people who used the themed worlds once jagex posted there theme for the avereage player to see, so it makes sense that many people didn't know about the themes to begin with. These people will have little troble addapting to the themes being moved to different worlds because they aren't used tot he way things are/were. It's the people who have known about the unoffical themed worlds for a long time that will have the most trouble changing, but they will change with the rest of the community, if only out of nessesity.
August 16, 200718 yr I'd use them because now, players have an actual (official) meeting place for these sorts of minigames. I recall a post in General that had Trouble brewing with about 94 people in it (~47 a side), and that's phenomenal. It's almost like these minigames get their purpose for being back, and these usually make for exciting player versus player combat. (Try going to the fight pits. Just *try* it.) August 16, 200718 yr Yes, but only for two reasons 1. now I can play trouble brewing to my hearts content 2. The temple building world meant that I finally finished shades of mort'ton woo jagex
August 16, 200718 yr I'm DEFINITELY using the Themed worlds. Because of them, I finally could try Trouble Brewing. I want Black Navy Pants  . I'm very sure that Jagex isn't trying to 'take away our right' in choosing worlds for us. Really. That hardly makes sense. The server loads were just getting too high on particular servers that couldn't take it. =D> And I applaud Jagex for the Themed worlds. Revived many mini-games :).
August 16, 200718 yr I think it's one of the best things they've done for the worlds. It was ridiculous trying to get people to come on mini-games with you. Now it's so much easier. Not to mention jagex already stated something along the lines of ''This DOESN'T mean you have to stick to those worlds''
August 17, 200718 yr I'd go with the world jagex has chosen, there's no difference expect a different world number. I can still play castlewars in a world other than the one jagex has designated, what they have done is help us. Cw's in the world they chose (131 I think, my memory is on his tea-break) now has better games than most other worlds used to. I wouldn't have minded 99 being left alone though. However Law runners do use it and have done for a while so i don't mind. August 17, 200718 yr Themed worlds. BAH! They just randomly wrote something for the most populated worlds. Hope that gets into a sig  Anyway, only the lowest number worlds were selected. All the higher numbered worlds are left alone. And that is great, less people in the mining guild ftw! \ RSN:Mico1311 Combat: 82 Highest skill: Fishing 75 Playing time: From around August 2003 The guy in my avatar is Veso, a comedian mastermind.
August 17, 200718 yr Well it's a great idea and all, and it seems to work for most worlds, but the tradign worlds aren't better than world2 and there are more high level stakers in w22 than there are in w83. Retired 2146 overall - 136 combat - 6 skillcapes Plus I think the whole teenage girl thing will end soon (hopefully), because my girlfriend is absolutely in love with him(she is 18), and im beginning to feel threatened by his [Justin Bieber] dashing looks.

August 19, 200718 yr To me, it's just a bit more to load text-wise while opening the world select page. But I'm really annoyed. I use Opera, a fully standards-compliant browser, and sometimes the ivon besides a member world will be swapped with the little sword icons, whose spots are occupied by little gold stars. And sometiems other icons get swapped around and there's always annoying little bags of gold as a background on every line that has the "World Name, Activity, Population, etc." It causes rendering issues in most browsers besides Internet Exploder, methinks (haven't played in lately Firefox though, stopped using when 2.0.0.6 screwed me over with add-ons). If you believe you came from monkeys, you probably did.
August 20, 200718 yr Typical. People whine how Jagex ignores the community, blablabla, then Jagex does acknowledge the community by officially assigning worlds the themes the community assigned to them unofficially and it's still wrong? If Jagex had ignored the fact that the community had originally chosen w104 for trouble brewing and w66/99 for law running, then there might be reason for grief (and even then). As things are now, however, they are perfect. Finally Jagex has acknowledged something the community set up for their ease and even made it official.
