August 24, 200718 yr I'm going back to school and I'm letting my membership run out. (Probably will be coming back next summer, but I'm not sure) Just taking a little poll of what you guys would do with your last days of membership? :-k Some options: -Gather f2p items (fish for lobsters, chop yews) -Train Slayer, Agility, Farming (or some other member skill) -Play minigames (Castlewars, Pest Control) -Runecraft (make a ton of natures/laws before going back to f2p) Post your ideas here, thanks! Results: 5 - Get doubles of every f2p item in order to enjoy an expanded bank [Already prepared that, thanks zombified! :)] 4 - Sell my members items 4 - Stock up on f2p supplies (yews, iron ore, coal, lobsters) 3 - Train Agility (It still works on f2p! Thanks nerdattack) 2 - Do treasure trails for $$$ 2 - Get an awesome costume/outfit/wear skillcape 2 - Go to a bar and get really drunk 1 - Play minigames with a friend 1 - Just have fun! :P Dr Locust <-- Click for my blog...+2000 Total, PhD in Questing, Woodcutting, Agility, Thieving, and Firemaking
August 24, 200718 yr Play some mini games or another fun activity with some friends on rs who will be staying members.
August 25, 200718 yr If you aren't buying members back, it's probably wise to sell your member items. Some people dream of success, while others make it happen.
August 25, 200718 yr If there's a skill to train, it'd be Agility since it carries over to nonmember worlds (energy restoration). :D I'd suggest that, selling your member's items (especially if you're not coming back), and having as much fun as you can. Since we don't know what you do for fun, it's up to you. :P Sig credit goes to ThruItAll. :D
August 25, 200718 yr Author Thanks guys, keep them coming. I've updated the tally. If there's a skill to train, it'd be Agility since it carries over to nonmember worlds (energy restoration). :D I was thinking about that! From Knowledge Base: Does Agility make a difference on free servers/worlds? Yes, your Agility level will still affect your run energy recovery rate on free servers. I know that Agility carries over to free worlds, but do you have to be a paying member for that benefit? Does anyone know? If so, maybe I should get agility up to 65 or 70 so I can outrun the beggars in free worlds. Dr Locust <-- Click for my blog...+2000 Total, PhD in Questing, Woodcutting, Agility, Thieving, and Firemaking
August 25, 200718 yr Nah, you can be unsubscribed, and Agility still has an effect. (Thank God!) :P Sig credit goes to ThruItAll. :D
August 25, 200718 yr Sell all Members items if you will not reclaim Members. Also try to get 2 of every item that you will use in free to play, and if there is any time left- get your agility up. Oh - also, if your a skiller, find yourself an awesome pay-to-pay outfit/costume. Good luck in free to play, ~! Necro !~ Joined Runescape: 23/01/02 |||. August 25, 200718 yr Sell all your members items that have a trend of getting less in value, so that when you get members again they will be cheaper. Then think about what you are going to do in f2p whenever you are on. Stock up on all related items to what you plan to do. Thats just my suggestion : Starting a new clan or simply want a better site? PM me and I can organise something for you!!
August 25, 200718 yr Read the article in the AoW concerning going back to free after being a member, it explains how to keep a members size bank in free, basically what a lot of people have already said about 2+ items. Plus train agility as high as possible. Good luck! :D Playing WoW Server - Ghostlands US My mian is Redshifter - Level 80 Feral Druid
August 25, 200718 yr Re: your bank If you do nothing else, put in cut and uncut gems of all f2p types (sapphire, emerald, ruby, diamond). So many of the randoms now give out noted cuts and uncuts, and it's a pain to sell them to the store and then buy them back just to unnote. August 25, 200718 yr collect at least 2 of these items: full green dragonhide coif maple bow (long and short) full rune some rune weaps collect a lot of these: arrows food (lobster and swordfish) just before membership runs out: put off all member clothes (unless you want to keep them on for a year or have 2 of them) 99 fletch99 Woodcutting
August 25, 200718 yr oh, and collect some laws, much easier in member worlds and logs and stuff doesnt matter if your bank is full 99 fletch99 Woodcutting
August 25, 200718 yr Forget stocking up (other than the bank stacking) unless the items are significantly easier to obtain in P2P than F2P. Laws, Nats, even buying Deaths in the mage guild. If you can thieve them, grab some Black Scimitars - F2P rarity makes them command prices closer to Addy. Not fast trading, but handy to have in stock. Go for good clue droppers, treasure trailing may bring in some top-grade trade stock for F2P.
