You played the whole thing, and you thought that it was boring? I doubt that. I guess you wouldn't mind telling us what happens at the end then?

 

 

 

It's much better gameplay than Halo, even if it is shorter, and if only it had a Multiplayer aspect to it, I would say it's 50 times better than Halo. It's not the best game ever, but it's definitely one of the best this year. It's original. And fun. Lots of fun.

Just finished Episode 2 and HOLY PETE.

 

 

 

Without spoiling anything, the turret cave near the beginning (when you fend off wave after waves of Antlions) was fun, and becomes Epic when metal music starts and a squad of Vortigaunts (both their visual model and animations, and their voices have been made totally badass) come in and just devestate.

i dont think there will be a portal multiplayer, i think the gun will be used in another game. i also think there will be a portal 2(the song have meny hidden mesages :-k and you also is not dead after it all "exsplode", you dont see the lab exsplode becuase you get suckt out :shock: ) i look foward to next year, when a new box will come and half life 3 :ohnoes:

Me and my roomate are simply waiting for the portal dev kit to come out on SDK and we plan on trying to make a portal multiplayer game.

 

 

 

If anyone has ever played ricochet its the same kind of objective (can't hit the ground) but with portals.

 

 

 

 

 

Imagine, if you will, being able to shoot a portal under someones feet and have it above a [bleep]ed trap, or something like that. The guy could try and move out of the way or make another portal of his to get out of it, ect. ect.

I'm fairly certain there will be a portal 2. (in the dev commentary he states "the first portal").

 

 

 

Also a lot of the hidden messages are probably for help linking the game to the half life universe. We should see the main character (C Johnson) of portal in Half life EP3.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

My speculation:

 

 

 

[hide]I think that we will find the main character on the boralis. If you noted at the end of EP2 they talked about it, and how it was just randomly put into the arctic. Now think, very hard, what kind of technology could do that?

 

 

 

Portals. My speculation is that they were testing larger portals and in a freak accident teleported the test site into the arctic. I think we'll find C johnson there as well, although I'm not sure why she would be there exactly. [/hide]
