Hehe, I actually remember quite clearly what I was doing. Back when trade prices weren't designated and players decided for themselves what to buy and sell for, I would kill chickens. Mind you this was around 3 or 4 years ago when I first started so I didn't exactly have the level to go and do double nats or something of the like. I'd sell for 5-10 gp each whenever I killed a few chickens (I'm an impatient person) and felt pretty good when I sold off like, 25 feathers for a few hundred gp. I feel pretty lucky now cause compared to some other methods people used (killing men, picking up respawns), I made cash relatively quickly. :

I did the same exact thing, but I started a bit earlier. I sold my feathers for a grand total of anywhere between 2-4 gp each. It took me ages to get that 1k, but it felt so good. I think I got my first 10k from that too, with a little side help when someone died.

I think I mined and smithed then sold things to the general store because nobody wanted to buy my bronze armour :(

Killing 5 cows = 700 gp

 

 

 

Picking up a helluva lot of iron daggers: 300 gp

 

 

 

O, and another thing, I bought a Anti-dragon shield, for 5k, and I was the coolest player in the game.

wow.. i really cant remember.. haha. but i was probably selling stuff to the shops, getting really little in return. =X

Mining copper tin and iron, then smelt them at furnace then make them into bronze and iron items at dorics and sell them to the general store in fally. :thumbsup:

I remember this level 100+ gave me 1k while I was mining tin/copper in the varrock southern mines. I was soo happy, I look back on it and laugh. :lol:

i did the prince ali rescue quest which gives 700 gp, i had 300 allready, so i had 1k. i felt soooo rich, lawl. i remeber this because i remeber beign mad when i died and lost it :wall:

I cant remember my first 1k, but i remember my first 10k.

 

I remember finding a rune plate on the floor and selling it for 10k.

 

 

 

Remember this was about 2yrs ago and it costed way more then it does now.

 

 

 

I was so pleased with myself untill i realised it was worth about 75k

My friend gave me 14 steel kites and I sold them all to the general store!

On my first day playing runescape someone gave me full black armour, and I had to leave before he could give me armour I could wear.

 

 

 

Sold it for 1/4 of the price it was worth at the time.

I wask killing goblins for 1k cash, I got around 900gp before a higher level came up to me and gave me 1k.

OMG :shock: that's what I used to do!! I don't remember exactly where I got my first 1k, but I do remember being jealous of my cousin, b/c he had 10k...now I have about 20m and he's jealous of me :D
