I understand a lot of players where interested in a TeamSpeak server I have recently set-up a 100 slot TeamSpeak server that I am willing to share with the tip.it community, I have posted this here as to get the message across the people interested.

Please could you try to keep the talking mature, and please keep it within the RuneScape rules, this if for players to communicate while pk'ing or playing mini games.

 

 

 

Picture of the set-up, as you can see there are private rooms for use for groups of friends and more can be made on request.

ahh, I had Ts over a year ago for a clan I was in, since then I deleted it, I'll have to find it again and download.

Sorry I should have explained, TeamSpeak is a application which enables people to speak with one another over the Internet.

 

 

 

You need the software and a microphone.

nice idea but i think it might be harder to follow convo's than tipit clan chat. it can be tough to heareveryone with 8 people on.. specially if someone has a dodgy mic or background noise. It could be handy for TET events though.

things like these things occasionally allow for harassment. if you goto you tube and search for "ventrilo harassment" and "teamspeak harassment" your going to find just how stupid people act and what they do.

 

 

 

btw, jurassic park's ventrilo harassment is very funny.

Yeah we all know the hassle of the sound, I have set up private channels so players can take them and there friends away from the rest of the people.

 

 

 

You don't have to sit and stay in the same room you can all move freely around, also I am open to requests for more rooms & so on.

I might come in handy for those post " How do you pronounce "XXX" , and just for a good old game of castle wars, you will have to mind some people who can be a pain but you are not forced to stay in the same channel as them you can move away.

The problem is is that most people who would be worth communicating with via this already have another server they can use. It's a good idea, but with the runescape community as it is a public TS will never work in my opinion.

Once the server starts getting used I may make everyone register and then set a password to help keep the rif raf out, but yes some of the kids are immature that I can deal with as long as they are not being rude.

I am not a complete expert on teamspeak and sometimes it to do with windows setting, but try this.

 

 

 

Got to control panel>Sounds & audio devices, then open the voice tab and run the test hardware, if all that fails to help, try the TeamSpeak manual, when you download the application go to help for the manual.

I guess I'll give it a try and see if it doesn't cause me too much lag in the game.
