Do jagex purposely leave AUTO'S IN F2P?

Featured Replies

I agree with most of the people in this topic...

It's just priority fella's

First off, fix the title of the topic so that it is gammatically correct.

And second, no, jagex does not let autoers stay in F2P. That would make autoing close to legal. As many others have said, they want their paying customers happy. But that doesnt mean they completly ignore F2p

I engineered this thread with precise variables that I know would cause lul-worthy flames.

Well I don't think JAGeX do really care about F2P since its P2P's money they are getting so they tend to care more about P2P so the members can stay and JAGeX would probably care more about the macros in P2P than F2P. Like ALL updates are done for members except holiday stuff so no I don't think they leave them in F2P to encourage F2P members although I think it can work.

I assume they advertised membership so much more to get more money, and to make better updates. I don't think i understand what you're saying though..doesn't make sense to meh

I'd say they probally are. They let them stay there to fuel members recources and keep them happy, to get skillers to get members, and to laugh. Its not hard to stop autoers. In fact just letting some people who woodcut daily have 'modship' would get rid of them.

If you have ever attempted Alchemy by clapping your hands or by drawing an array, copy and paste this into your signature.

^^^At least I'm not the only crazy one

Ban in p2p at start of membership = free money for Jagex. Then more accounts are created and banned soon. That is more money for them. I tihnk I am with you.

Happy to find I'm not the only one who eats glass.

well ya, we dont want em. i guess part of what we pay em is now going to bot banning \'

Please, kill a f2p. From Al Kharid to the edge of the wildy, there begging, whining, noobs.

I don't think jagex leave autoers in the free world on purpose, they just try to make the members happy.

I think you have the wrong idea :)

Have you considered that maybe jagex just chose p2p as the first place to do a mass banning? Perhaps we'll see a f2p mass banning coming soon(although that p2p mass ban was HUGE from what I've heard, might be a few weeks/months to tag all those bots). It would make since that jagex goes to members; as, after all, they are the ones who are paying.

As proven in the past, jagex still cares about f2p. They've banned far more autoers in f2p than p2p, even after the recent mass ban.

By popular demand, this signature is back- however I currently do not have a blog up at the moment and if I did I wouldn't update it. Sorry, the sig links to nowhere :( .

Actually, if you look closely JAGeX is mass-banning autoers and gold farmers in F2P as well. Haven't you noticed? Most of the autoers/gold farmers nowdays are cutting willows and such instead of yew. It's simply too easy to make a new account in F2P, but Yew autoing is certainly dropping. Also, saying that JAGeX wants autoers in F2P to promote membership is idiotic. Haven't you read the gold farming article JAGeX posted? This isn't just about game quality, it is a serious legal and humanity issue. They aren't going to ignore F2P, it's just harder to regulate it because of the ease of account creation.

Why do you resist? My experiments are only helping humanity push the boundaries of the Art of Toxicology... you should be proud to be one of my victims.

I was going to say maybe jagex wanted it to be another "membership benifit" but after reading this thread....... :-w

When you mentioned the Dragon Plates I had a sudden vision of a load of gangsters running around in fancy dress yealling "Grim Reaper in da hood!"

besides there are SO MANY MORE autoers in F2p

Hey Nicrune007 , Whats Your Username?

Yes, I believe they do

-.-

This claim is yet again so absurd that it requires no further comment :o

I know what I know and what I know might well not be what you want to know but then seeing as only I know what I know and you do not know what I know then you will not know if what I know is what you would like to know

I still see many Yew cutters in F2P these days. With so many customers (and a large income), i don't see why they can't just employ some people solely dedicated to the task of banning autoers...

you realise they probably have those? Simply not enough to cope with all the autoers... Everytime one gets banned, a dozen more hop out of the tutorial island. Speaking figuratively ofcourse, but you get my point.

You spelled grammatically wrong.

Well if it's so hard to ban as so many are made, perhaps they also should instead of banning them very much limitting them to how easy it is to make an account.
