Man loses arm after alligator attack

Featured Replies

This is about 10 miles away from where I live :| Not to mention I was there the day before, fishing with my dad. Here's the story.

If you don't like seeing severed arms, I suggest you don't look at the pictures in the link..

Photos

Nice link skills.

Those pics are pretty bloody, I didn't think they would release pictures like that on a public site.

That's pretty scary, but I don't think they should have killed the Alligator, unless it wasn't supposed to be in that lake or something :-s

I fixed the link

mrmyk,

There are no crocodiles here in South Carolina. Just alligators, which are smaller.

Damn, he was lucky to have run into a picnic full of nurses, to be sure.

Big Allie's doesn't sound too good..I knew it was an alligator but to me they are alike although to others they probably aren't at all.

Contrary to popular belief, I can read the news myself.

Amen to that.. There's a few too many news article topics around here. I suggest everyone picks up a copy of the newspaper in the morning so wer don't need new threads like that..

On topic: Yeah, alligators do tend to rip limbs off their prey..

I should care why....? Please inform me.

Losing one of your limbs is a possible outcome... when you go swimming near alligators.

Nobody is forcing you to come and look at, or even post in my topic. If I feel that I want to make a topic about something, then I can. Also, if you want to put it that way, I see no reason why you should waste your time coming into my topic and posting when you could be watching the news or reading the paper. :|

What? Since when?

Hard not to look when half the topics on the first page are news topics.

Happy to find I'm not the only one who eats glass.

I actually don't mind the news topics all that much. There are a good amount of them right now though, a few of them like this one, pretty much not news worthy. When I want to get my not news I go to Fark.

It's a little better than some of the other phases the board goes through. "I'm leaving (which they never do)" and "suicide" topics are my least favourite runs.

This [cabbage] seriously does need to stop though. People don't need to make topics every time they see a story that they think is interesting. Especially a story like this that warrants no serious/important conversation. I don't care if no one makes us look at it because that's beside the point, the point it that it's unnecessary to make the topics.

As for the story, tough luck for him.

No creatures to rip us limb from limb where I am, exept sharks(sometimes)

I see no reason you should waste your time posting these kinds of topics when we could all be watch the news or reading the paper. There's a serious lack of a good topics atm imo. Most of them happen to be these news topics which mostly get replies like, "Oh, that's a shame" or "LOL suck to be him". I think the only good news article on here is the one about the mother having sex with her kids. And that would only be better if I was allowed to go off with a bunch of perverted jokes..
