September 19, 200718 yr Those who have completed the Demon Slayer quest may recall the name of Wally - the first to banish Delrith with the famed Silverlight. You would be forgiven for forgetting, however, as the name of Wally has faded in the light of Arrav and other, more memorable, warriors. Wally's position in Varrock's history may well change. With the aid of Aris's magic, Reldo has been able to recover a text that was thought to be burnt and beyond saving. Its contents tell an interesting, and very human, story of Varrock's forgotten hero. Head over to the Lores and Histories page to learn of Wally in Eulogy for a Forgotten Hero. September 20, 200718 yr A thread about a story? This has no discussion vaule what's so ever. yeah i agree, not every small updates deserves a thread.
September 20, 200718 yr I didn't really understand the whole mining and then suddenly finding a warrior behind a wall thing :-k I fail to see ho9w many so many people don't get this. He was working on digging the varrock sewers, as the story tells us. At the far end of the varrock sewers are some moss giants. He struck through and found the moss giants with a man being attacked. The man obv enter from the edgeville side or dug in from above. These lore updates I LOVE But it annoys me so how many stupid rsof threads rise from them. Eg Arrav's story got a huge thread about maybe we have to find the dwarves and get the sheild to beat the mahjaratt. Despite the glaring obvious fact the sheild became known as the shield of arrav and we already found it and put it in the museum. Or for this week theres lots of WALLY = WISE OLD MAN threads despite the fact one of the two old ladies (church and clothes store)in varrock tells us the wise old man was called dessy AND the story is a eulogy, whihc makes it clear wally is dead. Lots of players still go to elementary schools, and haven't learned to read/decipher texts properly (yet!). Thats my best guess.
September 20, 200718 yr My best guess is alot of players these days are pixel and xp obsessed and click through npc speeches as fast as possible and therefore known absolutely nothing of the games story. Any good player who reads this stuff can solve new complex quests easy as they can come up with shortlists quickly of who might know the info they need from previous encounters, they can read lores and back stories and see what it links to AND they cans ee the glaring holes in the OMG THIS MIGHT HAPPEN based on x and y threads. Any player who skims through it all can't As they have no information with which to link new things they discover Operation Gold Sparkles :: Chompy Kills :: Full Profound :: Champions :: Barbarian Notes :: Champions Tackle Box :: MA RewardsDragonkin Journals :: Ports Stories :: Elder Chronicles :: Boss Slayer :: Penance King :: Kal'gerion Titles :: Gold Statue
September 20, 200718 yr I'm sorry but there really isn't anything to discuss here. Things posted on the front page of the official website should only be posted by Tip.It forum moderators in my honest opinion. Pretty much what Dragon said.Thread terminated.I guess that means I'm the thread Terminator? No Tip.Iters were harmed in the making of this post.

For example, I did the Shilo Village quest so long ago that when someone asked me where the tomb was (I was after a gout tuber and they walked past) I had absolutely no idea what he was talking about! So the discussions that happen on here about potential updates, I need them, and I need people like you to come along and shoot them down, because otherwise I have completely forgotten about the backstory to a quest series. Seriously, I can read through the quest list (a nice big expanse of green, except for two yellows) and tell you everything that happens in maybe 10% of those quests. In some I remember nothing. Goals to get my skills back up to a barely respectable level on the high scores: Currently going for Bone to Peaches spell. It's amazing how boring doing the same repetitive task is! Stupid MTA
September 20, 200718 yr If anyone has done Dragon Slayer again, you will see a cut-scene with Wally defeating Delrith. (They've added a lot of cutscenes in...that I didn't have when I did them first time through  ) ~Ddaanniiellh : 1437 : 173Lowest Combat to 1,000 Total in F2P (23 Combat)Check me out on YouTube!
September 20, 200718 yr Sorry to be harsh to which ever Jagex employee spent his/her time writing this Lore.... but this was the worst one :-# Seriously Website Updates & Corrections | Website Discussion
September 20, 200718 yr So Silverlight originally belonged to someone who got owned by a Moss Giant? Yeah that really makes me care about it. Dragon Drops - 10 Meds, 9 Legs, 5 Skirts, 2 Left HalfPM me to have any potions made or crafting done
September 20, 200718 yr So Silverlight originally belonged to someone who got owned by a Moss Giant? Yeah that really makes me care about it. Meh, it's not like most of us have the silverlight any more anyway. Darklight ftw! Meh, it's not like most of us have the silverlight any more anyway. Darklight ftw! +1. Darklight rules. ...anyway, it's just filling in a few gaps on the Wally story. Normally the lores and histories do provide a clue for future quests, so if you find yourself in a quest which relates to these key words: Wally, Varrok, Silverlight, Delrith; then I suggest you read that lore behind it first. Remember, story arcs are possible. The only question I can see this article poses is where did the words 'Carlem, Aber, Camerinthum, Purchai, Gabindo' (The slaying words which seals Delrith back into, um, another dimension?) actually come from? Who was paying the messenger? My guess is Gypsy Aris, but that's the furthest I can go without making stupid speculations. ~ W ~
