You do know it is traditional (at least in England) to wear black ties only for funerals. I do not know why everyone keeps saying black ties, unless of course you are all morbid characters in reality. It's also 'tradition' for the best man and/or bridesmaid to take the place of the bride/groom at a wedding, should either fail to turn up. My point is: some traditions are merely superficial in this day and age. This is how much you all raised for charity. Thank you.

October 8, 200718 yr I only have about 40ties This actually made me LOL. Only 40 ties aye. Poor you. I myself, own 3 ties. A White tie, A Light Blue Tie and A Black Skinny Tie. That's it. Each one was purchased for an important event including a wedding, an 80th birthday and a prom. Tie's make a suit. They look so much smarter than without one and i have no problem wearing one. Saying that, i only have to wear one like once a year.

October 10, 200718 yr G rated is boring. With so many trees in the city you could see the spring coming each day until a night of warm wind would bring it suddenly in one morning. Sometimes the heavy cold rains would beat it back so that it would seem that it would never come and that you were losing a season out of your life. But you knew that there would always be the spring as you knew the river would flow again after it was frozen. When the cold rains kept on and killed the spring, it was as though a young person had died for no reason. In those days though the spring always came finally but it was frightening that it had nearly failed.

October 10, 200718 yr We have to wear a tie with a suit as part of our 6th form uniform. The problem is, it has to be a school tie, which look awful and are far too thin to tie into a decent knot. For the record, the Windsor knot is the best. If I had a choice I'd probably go for solid stripes or solid colours. "Da mihi castitatem et continentam, sed noli modo"
