This post is for Runescapew44 and Dillingham1, specifically, after a discussion about the numbers we got (all different =D). I did the calculations, and here's what I got, calculations included. I used Tip.It skill calculators.

The Solo Method

Essence crafted into natures: 1,442,087

Essence crafted into natures before 91: 649,687

Essence crafted into natures after 91: 792,400

Natures crafted before 91: 649,687

Natures crafted after 91: 1,584,800 (792,400x2)

Total natures crafted: 2,234,487

Natures crafted: 2,234,487

Essence used: 1,442,087

Nature price: 300ea

Essence price: 100ea

Super energy cost: 1,900ea

Essence crafted per super energy: Two loads (based on personal calculations)

Each load of essence: 52 (assuming pouches up to giant and a one-click teleport)

Essence crafted per super energy: 104

Total amount of super energies needed: 13,866

Total cost of super energies: 26,345,820

Total money earned before deductions: 670,346,100

Money earned after essence deductions: 526,137,400 (670,346,100 - 144,208,700)

TOTAL money earned after super energy and essence deductions: 499,791,580 (526,137,400 - 26,345,820)

The FFL Method

Essence crafted into laws: 605,470

Essence crafted into natures: 792,400

Natures crafted: 1,584,800

Super energy cost: 1,900ea

Essence crafted per super energy: Two loads

Essence per load: 52

Essence crafted per super energy: 104

Total number of super energies used: 7620

Total cost of super energies: 14,476,539

Money lost making laws: 60,547,000 (605,470x100)

Money made making natures before costs: 475,440,000

Money made after deductions for laws and natures essence: 335,653,000

TOTAL money made after deductions for essence and super energies: 321,176,461

Amount you lose doing this method over soloing: 152,269,299

Enjoy!

I posted because of a discussion I had on tipitchat, where we were comparing the results of calculations we'd made.

I am actually hoping to solo to 99, as are both the people I mentioned, and even if I don't do it, it's still nice to know how much money I can make.

As for RC PKers, that's why I included the one-click teleport in my calculations. I've never been PKed since I started carrying a oneclick tele. And the items you lose are worth a maximum of 90k including the glory, so they're hardly worth including in the calculations even if you do get PKed, unless you get PKed, like, once every 10k natures, which would be pretty bad.

You should try calculating the time it takes to get that...that information would be very helpful then. :D

I think at my rates, I once calculated somewhere around a year and three months... :D

Get Saidin down here, he's calculated this out extensively, lol.

That looks roughly correct - since essence/nat prices fluctuate wierdly due to extensive merchanting, there's no real average that you can place on those prices. I'd argue that the essence average is closer to 85-ish, but 100 isn't a whole lot different.

A lot of people do 80-91 at ffl, so if you're interested in doing more calculations, you could factor that in and find how much 80-99 doing that method would take.

I just kinda took what I've seen to be the average of prices. For instance, I heard the shop update boosted nats to 330ea, but I don't know if that's true.

And when I get home, I'll figure out the FFL method, should be interesting.

Have you checked the ess average after the shop update? It's closer to 120-ish now.

Really? That's brutal... However, it still results in around ~200gp per profit, if the nat price I heard was true.

Good luck, oneclick tele ftw? =D

...Money earned after essence deductions: 526,137,400 (670,346,100 - 1,442,087)...

This second number should be 144,208,700. Your calculation came out fine anyways, you just forgot to multiply that by 100 (essence cost).

It worked out to the right number, just pointing that out.

Nice facts, I somehow though you would make more though...

Whoopsies! Just forgot to add the zeroes in the brackets, they were included in my calculations. Thanks for picking that up.

Isn't the new altar much better and cheaper than ffl?

It's cheaper, but slower exp I believe.

That amount sounds all and great but you forgot one big factor.

The amount of pure ess you need for 99.

:-w

Unless somehow you get tons of pure ess for free which is impossible.

I did show that, I think, unless you're thinking of a different thing than me.

you technically don't need to add super energies, as some people don't use em, although it takes longer.

but wow, 500m, nice

I could never runecraft without super energies. I tried it once - it's so amazingly slow, I couldn't handle it. It's a slow enough skill already.

How many hours would 99 Rc take? :-/

Well, I assume 1.5k essence an hour, but reflecting on that, I'm realizing that I don't have a giant pouch. I'll go with 2k essence crafted per hour. If someone has a number more accurate, please tell me. At 2k per hour, it would take 723 hours, give or take lots due to different runecrafters having different speeds, etc.

I'm working on adding the FFL to 91 method, it'll be up in ten minutes or so.

Enjoy! This has been added to the original post as well.

Wow, that's truly an IMMENSE guide. I love it.

However, he didn't compare the amount of money you make getting 99. He compared methods using exp/hour and gp/hour, not the same thing I did. But, for any aspiring runecrafters out there (myself!) it's a wonderful guide, perhaps the most comprehensive one there is on the net. I'm using that guide from here on in.
