What's the reason for the slow down? So come on people! Lets make Off topic the exciting place it used to be! The calibre of topic has dropped so far...In fact, I just looked through my posts, I made exactly 4 posts between March 19 and March 29. Thats horrible. There's nothing interesting. No one is thinking outside the box, they are posting either things that have been posted atleast 10 times before, they only apply to like, 10% of the people, or they just aren't interesting at all. It seems so boring lately!" type of post always comes up every month or so, always with the same type of responses. And as usual people blame it on people posting boring stuff. Maybe take it upon yourself to think of an interesting topic of discussion to post instead of talking about how dull discussion's got lately. But I came from 4 days vacation tuesday and there were only two and half pages of non readed topics. Reality is hundreds of times more beautiful and more interesting than delusions. The problem might lie in this area: interesting topics are often somewhat controversial. This itself isn't the problem; it's that some people can't take a proper argument without getting offended. oz Posted April 2, 2005 Share Posted April 2, 2005 the problem lies within the fact this forum is about something that isnt real. and i remember years ago when on scapeboard you were allowed to do so much more. i dont understand why though. its like in real life - people are free, then they sue because they get offended or some crap, so people change the rules to not allow what they got offended by. the only difference here is there is nothing to lose by being free, except the approval of possible a few parents. but if they come on this forum, they obviously must have been on runescape. and i dont know what its like now, but i can only assume its worse than when i stopped playing. stop complaining this is the most active forum i go to. your lucky to get a page worth of posts in a fortnight in most forums. Varrock library has some of the most interesting stories ever but people barely ever go there. I too think that alot of the interesting topics are some of the debates. However, some people can't stand for people to be against their opinion, and flaming endures. I know i've always had fun debating with people. And realy, aside from posts about whats going on in the world, or news, there realy arn't many posts around. I can say though that the off topic section here does keep me up to date on current world events :lol: , which is preaty cool. So who knows, thinking up of a good topic is a hard thing to do, especialy one that hasn't been done before. meh.. reminds me of the "simpsons did it" espisode of south park. And given the limits of what can be posted, it's not suprising that the supply of interesting topics has ran dry.
