The Real ET
^ So why post? This isn't a forum strictly for runescape players. Many people on these forums have long since quit runescape. Also, I love how I gave a good, clean argument of disagreeing and someone acused me of flaming. Disagreement does not equal flaming. Seriously though, just put it in suggests in RSOF and hope that it's one of the things they fix later. Nothing you can do after the fact and those 2000 chinchompas are never coming back. hatebringer
ouch, but it is kinda your fault... what else would release do? But i do agree, It would prevent the loss of large amounts of chins if you really want to click release chins just to find out what it does... 99 Fletching 99 Attack 99 Constitution 99 Cooking 99 StrengthGamertag: H8tebringer
NickCini
Oh man....that stinks so bad....I am really sorry to hear that. This is entirely Jagex's fault. What if you had lag and accidentaly pressed the release button? There should be a confirm screen. Tbh, not really. It is strange that many other items, (infact I can't think of any that don't) have confirm screens. The reasons chins don't though is actually quite clear. The release function is designed for those who catch them purely for hunting and don't want to collect. I doubt there are many people like that. But most animals caught through hunting have that function. It's a function that is designed for hunters rather than rangers. 123Yourgone
Jagex are trying to idiot proof rs, and evolution is trying to make bigger idiots. Evolution: 1 Jagex: 0 What did you think release would mean?, If your on a mountainside do you go step off the side becouse there "should" be a guard rail there?, without actually confirming there is a guard rail there?. This is why the player mod system fails, becouse jagex doesnt do an iq test before giving it out.
iwatake
Yeah, it should be like that, losing any amount of chinchompas that way is rather infuriating. Senseless not to have a confirmation, really.

Roberthree
I don't get why people are fighting so hard to oppose this. It hurts no one and benefits many..... He wouldn't be able to believe how stupid he was. Do you realize how close Examine and drop/release are? I've accidentally dropped loads of stuff, but I can pick it back up. They can't. Also, about the comment on me being the cause of problems with the P-mod system, just elt me tell you that I have gotten thousands (Yes, thousands) of macros banned, removed several hundred other rulebreakers from the game permanently, and am at the extreme high end of report accuracy. Trust me, I do my job well enough. No need for the flaming guys. It should be in suggestions but i support Someone said that already and reported it, and it didn't get moved. You're saying the only people who deserve to be able to play are ones who can "learn" to not accidentally move their mouse 0.1 inches too little? Wow. Also, the game would not be better off If I quit...if only for all the gold selling site advertisers and macroers I get banned. And this isn't a question of time. 5-10 minutes maximum: Copy/paste the warning screen code from another object, change the text and image, and attach it to red chinchompas. Not very hard at all. I don't suppose I can keep arguing with you. Your calling me a moron is kinda ironic. Seems more like the reverse to me, judging by your arguments. ortiz9471
I'm not flaming, but seriously.. common sense ftw  It's like a wet paint sign. If you're not willing to risk getting paint on your hands, don't touch the wall. If you're not willing to risk releasing your chinchompas, don't release them :wall: Personally, I think that option shouldn't be there at all. It makes no sense to be able to drop them and have them instantly disappear for everybody. So I guess I agree.

assassin_696
It may be a minor one, but I see this as more of a suggestion than a rant. Not really, lag can make people mis-click. I might have thought I clicked examine but the game lags a bit and I hit drop. It's happened before. And once again I must ask : "Why not?' Zaaps1
I'd say that the release option is for when you want to drop them (like when you need them for something else and you only have, say 1 or 2). But it is a good idea, I like it. ~It's Super Effective! 00hydro
Wow this is very funny, no not you situation, the fact that i read you post on the RSOF. I say that everyone's answer was bank, or just hold one in your inventory. Both i say are things that i probably would've done. But not that that matters. You're definetly right about the release button. There should be a warning of some sort, just like a fighter torso, quest item, or something else of the type. I must say though, i will never buy chimpopas, mostly because of the reason that they're an exploding dart. But hey, the hunter skill helped another skill, which is good in my book.
