November 9, 200718 yr the Bandos GS was at around 42m a few weeks ago when i was last on, so did it go back up to 50m or do you just have your prices wrong? Anyways, I currently have a red H'ween mask, and before that, had a BGS, which I thought was Decent at best. It can hit very high, but it is not definite, and the Whip is very much better in speed, which makes up for the GS's hard hits. The GS is also only really hard hitting like you seen in vids, when you have 99 str. at my Str, 83, i was just barely hitting above 35s, and with pot was just under 40. I personally sold it after a few swings, and don't plan on buying any Gs. Personally, I would buy Guthans, Veracs, a Whip, Fury and D boots with that 33M you have, and then train up your CB, or invest into a skill. GS really isn't worth the outrageous prices it is now. 99 Fletching 99 Attack 99 Constitution 99 Cooking 99 StrengthGamertag: H8tebringer
November 9, 200718 yr As you can see, eventually people will realize it's not worth it; just as a novelty. Sorry, but it's not that simple. The analysis you quoted is like using theoretical benchmarks to say one piece of hardware is better than another -- those who have used these weapons in the real world know differently. In a duel against a whip and a rune defender, the godsword will almost always win because of KO ability and accuracy. Sure, the whip is faster, but you have to take into account that each hit rolls the same formula; it doesn't stack. That means one hit with the Godsword is still more accurate and still more powerful than two hits with the Whip. Now, against a charged DFS, a Godsword is at a disadvantage.... im pretty sure in a duel i would lose to some1 if i only used the GS vs whip defender the Bandos GS was at around 42m a few weeks ago when i was last on, so did it go back up to 50m or do you just have your prices wrong? its back to 50m

Sorry, don't mean to be snarky, but I never understand people who won't buy fun and useful items like the GS because it's "too expensive" but they *will* spend 30m+ on something completely useless... November 9, 200718 yr I have had all the hilts, and through comparing them with my levels and friends that I let borrow them, high attack is a must for the hits to be effecttive. When I start training slayer I am going to train attack to 99 with the whip first, then use an sgs for the rest. Hitting 40s + is only usefull if you can do it consistently. If you dont have a lot of gps and a sgs or ags will drain all your money, stick with zammy (the cheapest) and your dds spec. Everyone that says a whip is better then a gs is either really low combat or has never used one long enough to really know how great it is. I am not a skiller, but i do some skills.

In a game that supposed to be played for fun? Nope, I guess I don't. Goes along with not understanding why so many people are obsessed with wealth in the game. I mean, how many ways are there to make 2-3 mil + a day in this game? Dozens. Oh, and I guarantee you that I made a lot more money off my godswords than you ever will from your red mask. ;) Qeltar, aka Charles KozierokWebmaster, RuneScoop - Premium RuneScape Information for Expert Players -- Now Free!Featuring the Ultimate Guide to Dungeoneering -- everything you need to know to get the most of the new skill!

November 9, 200718 yr why buy a weapon that costs 30 times more than a whip and is almost the same or slightly better? Ill stick to the whip and invest my money in magic and stuff. But if you have spare money and everything 99, then buy it. And buy a life aswell ;)
November 10, 200718 yr I'd want a Saradomin sword, not SGS, just the normal sword. It's pretty fast and I hear that it's pretty bomb tacular if used properly.

November 10, 200718 yr Like all things - its price will eventually setlte downwards to a proper price Only reason the swords are dumb prices is mostly because everyone wants to be seen with one first. Exactly. Same thing with Dark Bows. They were really expensive when there were only the first 100's. But then they went down. Eventually, the Godswords will go down in price too. (Eventually) F2P for life :D
November 10, 200718 yr The Saradomin Sword is a huge waste of money. It's basically a two-handed whip that can train strength. Just use a d scim + rune defender.
November 10, 200718 yr Will it rise or fall? That's what I'm wondering. I'm currently 33.6 / 50M for the sword, and I'm worrying that the prices will soar and I'll spend a couple more weeks trying to get it. At the moment, it'll take 4 more weeks and a few days to get the sword, and I don't like it being prolonged because it seriously isn't healthy to play that long. lol. I'm just wondering what your opinions are on this. I tested one at 117 Cb. Unless you have extra cash laying around, it is NOT worth buying. It is inconsistent and limited in too many aspects to be the whip-destroyer that everyone thinks it is. In fact, at 117 Cb, I was defeated by a lvl 108 Dharoker (twice out of three times) and a lvl 95 Range tanker (once out of four), using BGS. Read up qeltar's guide on GS's. It is very thorough. Prices will NOT soar on BGS or ZGS. There are too many GWD'ers, and really is not worth that much. I personally am using my GS cash to invest in 92 Range. I am considering buying a GS in the distant future, after I get some spare cash with GWD. I would suggest using your cash for a complete Barrows set, or buying range/mage levels, or 70 prayer. that is complete bs! i defeated my full dh friend like 5 times ( he got 99 99 90, and i got 92 88 83 at that time...) edit: with a zammy gs with bandos it would've even gone better got 99 attack:D 89/99 str now

November 10, 200718 yr i dont know how hard it is to get cause i dont really bother stepping into the dungen but maybe it would be around 40mill if it is slightly easy 2 get and if it is a really rare thing maybe rise 5 mill or something
November 10, 200718 yr I'd want a Saradomin sword, not SGS, just the normal sword. Then you don't know what the SGS can do. Simple as that. November 10, 200718 yr I'd want a Saradomin sword, not SGS, just the normal sword. Then you don't know what the SGS can do. Simple as that. I agree with you that the saradomin godsword is awesome, amazing, and far superior to most weapons. But maybe he wants to have a saradomin sword to have a good weapon, and to spend the other millions on skills. Personally, if I want to get a weapon, I need to have the cash. And most of the people I know dont have an extra 100+m lying around in their bank. You would have to get that huge amount to get a sword, wich is although better then most weapons, still only about a fraction better to a whip. I find the extra bonusses and the huge koing ability nice, but I wouldnt lay down an extra 100m+ for it. Id rather spend it on a dragon fireshield, lots of barrow sets, skills and whips. Im not jealous of people with lots of money. But personally I rather have good skills then a rare or a multimillion sword. Interrested in joining the cabbagy madness? November 10, 200718 yr i can't say from experience, but i've seen youtube clips of people of very high levels hitting 25-30s with them... and people of lower level hitting 32-35s with whips i'de take a whip over a god sword any day... unless someone is willing to give me a od sword, i could sell it for even more cash o.o The world is full of self proclaimed experts who really don't know what they are talking about.
November 10, 200718 yr The Saradomin Sword is a huge waste of money. It's basically a two-handed whip that can train strength. Just use a d scim + rune defender. Not to mention the fact that it can also heal and restore prayer points. To be entirely honest, I don't care what other people think, they are as good as each other for certain things, one thing might be better than another for something else. It depends ENTIRELY on the situation you are using it for. Click my signature for my blog!
November 10, 200718 yr But maybe he wants to have a saradomin sword to have a good weapon, and to spend the other millions on skills. It's possible that I misunderstood, but I read his/her comments as saying he/she would prefer a sara sword over a sara GS straight up. I've certainly heard other people say this. Anyway, I don't care what people want to use, but so many of the opinions tossed around about high-end items are from people who have never used them and just don't know what they can do. For example, I've seen comments like "the sara GS is the worst one for dueling", which is pretty funny to anyone who has used one in a no-food spec-on duel and seen the reaction of his or her opponent. ;) Qeltar, aka Charles KozierokWebmaster, RuneScoop - Premium RuneScape Information for Expert Players -- Now Free!Featuring the Ultimate Guide to Dungeoneering -- everything you need to know to get the most of the new skill!

The Sara Sword is the one that is long and pointy, with 82 attack and 82 strength and hits as fast as a whip. It has a superior special attack and can train strength, but it's still not worth throwing down 26-28m.

And I would want to see someones face when I sara spec them. Unfortunally, Im too poor. And the saradomin sword is ownage. In my opinion looks better then a whip and can train strength, although its 2-handed. I wouldnt mind laying down 26m for one. Interrested in joining the cabbagy madness?
