icecube
Not much to say in this situation. I'd just apologize and say something like you would never do it again, and would like a second chance.
full_metal
This best i can offer is that you should write a well thought out appeal in attempt to get it unbanned, other than that theres nothing you can do (other than maybe a large bribe  ). So in the mean time if you enjoy runescape that much start a new name, if not just move on :ohnoes: ^Click for the greatest sig maker ever!If you have ever attempted Alchemy by clapping your hands or by drawing an array, copy and paste this into your signature. Krimm911
Is rule 11 advertisement? If so I can't believe you got 10 for that. But, Jagex has been really cracking down on rule breaking right now so you really need to watch your P's and Q's.
M6c_Magnum
I would definitely try to show them that you understand completely what Rule 11 is (so that they know you know what the rules are and in-depth). Don't be direct about it, but make it apparent (that you understand the rule completely): I admit that I did provide the URL to an outside website. However, I did not call attention to, promote or emphasize the website. (the 2nd sentence comes straight from the definition of advertise). Obviously write something longer than that. Try to use all of the characters available, but don't sacrifice important detail to fit something less important. Spell check your work and make sure there are ZERO grammatical errors. If you need someone to proof-ready your statement, I advise you do so. I can help if you want, both of my appeals were successful. [/bads]

Polnar
Certainly be as apologetic as possible without going so far as to beg, also, it's a good idea to get someone good at English to lend you a hand/proofread. I would be willing if you asked.
xpeimingx
I've been playing RS for a long time, and if I could only give one word of advice, it would be: teacher. Ask your school's best English teacher to proofread your appeal letter. There's nothing more important than the language in a letter except for the content itself. Best of luck. Alina
First off, Never do that again. Second, I think you should send in a real appeal stating your true feelings. Be sencere about the ban if you are, but other than that It's all I can say. ~Alina ~Tip.It's #1 Party Girl & Events Team Supporter~Next TET Event: A Holy Pilgrimage!Next TET AU Event: Zamorak Strikes Back Part 1!PM me if you need any help with an event. M6c_Magnum
I would actually go with Customer Service made a mistake... I've been successful on that 3/3, but then again I've never tried to apologize (which can be spelled both ways). My friends have been successful with "made a mistake", too, though, so I would recommend that... Apologizing... I don't know.. just doesn't seem that great, can't see it being very effective... Ok, when you can't find, I will be so good and show you: Rule 11 - Advertising/Website You are not allowed to actively advertise in the RuneScape game or RuneScape forums. M6c_Magnum
Ahh, someone provided a quote from the rules page: Rule 11 - Advertising/Website You are not allowed to actively advertise in the RuneScape game or RuneScape forums. This includes advertising any website or product, and no web addresses are allowed. Telling other players any web-address is not allowed. I would specifically say something like, "I was not actively advertising any website or product." That way they KNOW you have read the rule - one of the main reasons to be banned (Jagex bans you so you learn the rules and don't do it again). They will reconsider your banning and also be happy that you now FULLY understand the rules. [/bads]

yondergod22
here is what im thinking of putting. is there anything you guys think I should put in, take out, or change? Dear Jagex, I admit that I did provide the URL to an outside website. However, I did not call attention to, promote, or emphasize the website. After my dad recently died of cancer, and now my mom is very sick, runescape is my life. I am going to commit suicide if I don't get my account back, after spending years of leveling up, and I was just thinking about becoming a member. I doubt that is how I would write my letter (I dunno, I'd just be too scared that they would hax0r my information and call the police or something, lol), but if you think that will work and others have confirmed, I guess it's worth a shot. However, there are some grammatical problems with your last sentence. I THINK it should be written like this: "I am going to commit suicide if I do not get my account back; after spending years to level up and after I recently decided to become a member, this is too much."
