Seraphi
They don't reproduce, so there is no chance of resistance being developed. They use the human body, so unless that body is resistant to the cold, the zombie wont be either.

The_Mather1
Won't the parasites freeze to death? Also, heard of a fireplace? And if you're properly dressed then -20-30 isn't that bad. Twitter: @TheMather1

Seraphi
Basically, zombies probably wont be a problem if you're in an area where that is the average temperature, since there wont be many people in the first place. Probably since the risk of death by hypothermia is so high. What I'm basically saying is that going to said area is stupid, even in a zombie apocalypse. Guest Mrmegakirby
Hex, another huge disadvantage of a boat is it takes one decent storm to flip and capsize you. Unless, you have a huge boat, or a rescue boat, which are designed to be nearly impossible to flip, and when they do, they do a barrel roll, and correct themselves...I'm now sure how everyone onboard would do, though. But those boats would take more then one person to maintain. I know this - my dad's in the coast guard (canadian) and I have been aboard the boat many times. Often, it takes 2 people to drive, one to keep lookout, and one to be ready to make repairs in a moments notice. Nevermind the pirates which will surely exist. Do you have a boating license? (Just curious.) In other words, getting ahold of a decent boat and maintaining it would be very hard for a very trained person, nevermind the avarage civilian. The_Mather1
Doesn't the virus mutate into a parasite in your brain? If the outbreak happens during winter then Norway will be safe. I've got a wood shed behind my house. Twitter: @TheMather1
Seraphi
Mather, if Where you live drops to -20/-30, and it is still a populated area, then you're even more screwed. The power and water will inevitably be out, and you wont be able to get any from rivers/streams since it will be frozen. Plus, since the decay is much lower, the zombies will be around until you are out of food. Virus stays as a virus.
The_Mather1
Water's not out during winter.Ice can be easily broken.Doesn't snow stop the zombies? The zombie survival guide said the virus creates a parasitic "organ" in one's frontal lobe. Seraphi
Not really, that is just where the virus is most concentrated. The water will be out during a zombie apocalypse, and having frozen rivers will make things much more difficult. Snow would do as much to impede you as it would impede the zombies. Essentially, it's not a good plan.
Guest Mrmegakirby
Yeah. There are plenty of areas where there won't be zombies where you won't freeze.
The_Mather1
Only difference is that I'm used to traversing snow, the zombies are not. A frozen creek is easy to break open, having one 50m away is usefull. Most viruses and bacteria are weak to the cold. Also, are you telling me that if this happens during winter then I should flee south, out of Norway? Twitter: @TheMather1

Seraphi
until they gather enough recources (bodies) to make themselves invulnerable to cold. not a good idea. They will not gain invulnerability to the cold. They have no blood flow, or body heat. I have no idea where you are getting this from.
The_Mather1
So shuffling through snow is better than a lifetime of experience? Try not to teach me how the Norwegian winter is bad for Norwegians. Twitter: @TheMather1

Seraphi
Earth, why don't you try reading what I said before. THEY WILL NOT GAIN RESISTANCE TO THE COLD SINCE THEY DO NOT REPRODUCE, THEREFORE, EVOLUTION CANNOT TAKE EFFECT.

VEGHATERMEATLOVER
However mutation can take effect, especially in virus's and bacteria.Still, they won't gain resistance to the cold.
Seraphi
Pretty much. The chances of the virus mutating the ability to give it's host resistance to the cold would be next to nil.
Guest Mrmegakirby
Oh. Hex, this is what I was talking about earlier regarding nervousness and close combat. RANGE VERSUS ACCURACYStudies have shown that, given the trauma of battle. the closer ahuman is to a zombie. the wilder his shooting will be. When practicingwith your firearm(s). establish a maximum range for repeatedaccuracy. Practice against moving targets in ideal (stress-free) conditions.Once that range is fixed. divide it by half. This will be your effectivekill zone during an actual attack. Make sure the undead do notmove closer than this zone. as your accuracy will erode. If engaginga group. make sure to hit those that enter the zone first before dispatchingthe others. Do not discount this advice no matter what yourprevious experience has been. Street-hardened police officers. decoratedcombat veterans. even -cold-blooded" murderers have endedup as well-chewed meat because they believed in their "nerves" andnot their training.
