"Items Kept on Death" Priority

well, it there is that thing when pking in full dragon, and u die... u will keep the legs and not the chain. millions down the drain.

 

 

 

:twisted: but good for the person picking up and getting killed. he'll pick up the chain and then get killed. then it's going to be another kill and anohter and another and another, until everyone has killed each other and the chain is on the ground. then a lvl3 will come along on his runescape wildy exploring trip, spot the chain on the ground and pick it up.

It's a good idea, but I wouldn't implement it yet if I were Jagex, simply because the GE prices do not accurately reflect the true market prices... yet.

 

On January, it would be a good idea to update, because the prices will be more accurate.

 

 

 

Oh and for those people saying it will mean that the priorities will change and you will lose a different item, that's not a bad thing because you will always end up losing the cheaper item of the two. Besides, you already know what you're going to lose if you check. (However, I do appreciate your point somewhat, so a good idea would be to have a timer when the GE prices will update, so people are aware of any priority changes.)

 

 

 

Oh, and the fact that party hats were valued only 1 or 2gp in the priority system was wrong in the first place. Tradition is not always the best thing.

Then peopled go pk and kill stuff with their p hats and have no worries realy.

 

But then they'd lose the extra item the party hat protects over, wouldn't it? :wink:

 

 

 

Or if they bring 3 items they lose the space for 1 extra item they could bring.

It's VERY simple, in your Options menu, you can select how your item save will work. Either Hi-Alchemy price or GE Price.

 

 

 

With that, you can make the best determination.

 

 

 

By the way, that would even out the Barrow Set prices, as the items lost will soon pull toward being the same price (all soon, all will begin getting lost at same interval). At least Karil's will still be Junk.

I thought store prices changed accoriding to GE prices? in any case i tried to buy normal logs from player stock general store and they were 40gp.

It shouldn't matter if people pk in party hats. It's not like there is a huge issue if someone was pking in a phat.

Even tho market prices are controlled by the want of the item(which in the case of barrows set is the one you lose when you die), wouldn't changing this just even out set prices? That way 1 item isn't ridiculously expensive compared to the rest of the set?

Errr, no. The reason a Guthan Warspear is expensive is BECAUSE it is lost upon death.

The reason why Verac's skirt (with all its amazing prayer and defence bonus) is around the 400k price range, is because it protects over many things, such as Verac's helm and the Abyssal whip.

No, people wouldn't PK with party hats. The Grand Exchange prices are set at fluctuating street prices. That means Party Hats, would at least be 100 Mill+. Why would anyone go into a wilderness with that bounty literally on their head?

But people would if they knew they'd keep them, just bring a party hat and a couple of prayer pots so you couldn't be smited and you'll be fine.

 

 

 

And also, "Back in the day" I pked in Santa hats and the lot, it's wasn't uncommon to do so.

 

 

 

Even if you couldn't lose it, why would you bring it in? It gives no bonus (Maybe like +1 slash def?) and just makes you a target.
