What's there to discuss? this is simply basic an early screenshot of what will happen in the future, a bug now, but truth in January.

The message that you can see in the chatbox was what it said when i pressed "accept".

 

 

 

If there was only a 3k difference, yes, i would have been able to make the trade.

Um... this could show further bias against certain characters as shown with the spree of "offensive" name banning. Look at Queltar's article to learn about THAT.

It isn't that, it's only happened twice in the 100s of trades i have done since monday and after i declined this trade and traded him again it worked.

Jagex has been working hard on a number of ideas to remove the threat of Real-World Trading from the game.

 

 

 

Real-World Trading is a plague to online gaming. It encourages cheating and bypassing game mechanics designed to make the game fun, therefore diminishing the enjoyment of playing. Other players, who see those people cheating and gaining the items not by skill, but by money, get upset. Why should they duel or quest with those who did not earn their 'loot'?

 

 

 

When we announced that we were removing unbalanced trading we were sure that those involved in Real-World Trading would try to do what they could to 'offload' their inventory as soon as possible. It is because of this that we have implemented this change for new accounts and also for what we call 'High Risk' accounts.

 

 

 

Jagex has a system in place that determines whether an account is 'High Risk' and unfortunately your account has been flagged as such. We are sorry that this has occurred, but we are unable to remove your account from the 'High Risk' status as that would involve removing this system from the game. The risk to RuneScape posed by those involved in Real-World Trading is too great to do this.

 

 

 

However, please rest assured your account has not been flagged as 'High Risk' as a result of any rules being broken. Additionally your account is at no risk of being banned as a result of being flagged to us.

 

 

 

All other RuneScape accounts will be restricted in the same way in the first week of 2008, so please let us assure you that we are not singling out your account. We apologise for any inconvenience this has caused you.

Aha, maybe it's because the people i was trading were "high risk" accounts? I traded somebody else and it worked, when they tried the same it didn't.

so with all this. i'm guessing that if you've been placed at "high risk" you must have singled out a single skill right?

 

 

 

if i am right, which i may be, looking at all these RWT levels. So will my friend(and others) be able to trade things like a whip or something to their friend(if both are low risk. or not "high risk"??

 

 

 

cause i say a post bout a mother, or father. who said they wouldnt quit they'd become free player... wait that was the mother....

 

 

 

oh yeah. the uncle said he would give his son random things like 30 sets of addy and mith. If say the newpue(correct spelling please) was a higher level or say 40. and both were none high risk. could they still make this trade??

I think the limit should be put at around 10k. some items like climbing boots are worth less than 1k (in the grand exchange, people don't bother to buy only 1 for 10k, they buy a large quantity for a lower price, simialr to laws). So now climbing boots are 5-10k worth when buying 1 item but if your account is flagged, you have to give a discount.

was this a new account? because last night I gave my RL wife 50k pure ess, 20k steel arrows and 2300 iron arrows in one trade, with nothing on her side....dont rememeber the value but it was in the millions....went right thru, no warning or anything.....

This is strange. And you have had it twice too? Poor you :(. All I can recommend you is to send a message to Jagex and tell them about the bug.
