I wonder if they are working to improve the view evidence button. I have never gotten an offense either, but I would like to think that people don't just get randomly muted.

 

 

 

I know that you said that it was picked up by a filter, but wouldn't you think the filter would have tons of text to go through, and it would have to be programmed to recognize when a word wasn't bad?

It's probly programmed to realize starred words and then it goes through and rereads the starred words to see if they are mistaken or not.

before clan chat me and 1 friend would always have problems with not appearing online to 1 another. she as well was previously muted for 14 days. we communicate with a serious of "flashes" of online status. 2 quick flashes after 1 of us talks let the other know we cannot reply... very... well simple way of communicating like how people do with quadriplegics via the "blink once for yes" method

i've been muted since Feburary 28th 2007. Get over it. I've been muted for nearly a year for many offences I didn't even commit. You're muted for 2 weeks, oh no, what are you to do!

What I don't understand is why they muted you. It's not like anyone heard it nor did it offend anyone. So what does it matter if you swear and no one hears it? :-s

I still think there is more to the story than this. It just goes to show that you never know when they are watching so it is best to just follow the rules and not chance it.

It's foolish unless you have Vent or TS.

You don't get muted for talking alone in ur own clan chat.

 

Yes, Jagex can backtrack and check your chatlogs.

 

But what reason do they have? Unless another player reported you for doing something.

 

 

 

There is no robot scanning accounts for bad language. There is reporting, and than looking into the reported persons chatlog.

 

So talking alone in ur clan chat wouldn't trigger a search on u, therefore its something else.

 

 

 

No when the filter picks it up....you don't need to be reported.

 

 

 

I have tested for things being censored at least a dozen times and never been muted even when it censors

Oh man, when you're going to try Bypass the filter in a Clan Chat remember this to add this /...

 

 

 

I don't think you deserve a mute for that nor a black mark, however, having fun from bypassing the filter and swearing are signs that there are immature or mentally delayed people arround us...
