Humans are at the top. We are the most intelligent, and dominant species on Earth. As such, we have earned our right to eat animals, and any animal at the top would do the same if we were below them. Normally, I would agree. In fact, i do agree for those vegans who don't eat it because of animal rights. There are, however, vegans who don't eat animal products because of health concerns. My mom recently acquired a book entitled, "Skinny [bleep]". It's all about food. How to eat right, and what goes into what we eat. The part on emat especially is very interesting and eye-opening. Don't get me wrong, I have no plans on going vegan (15 years and it hasn;t caused any problems yet) but it does provide a more logical reason than "don't kill the wittle animals :( "

I agree with whoever said that eating vegetables is the same as eating meat, I was about to make the same point myself. What's the difference between a flower and a weed? They're both plants, and a flower in one place may be called a weed in another. It's only the gardener's arbitrary definition that separates the flowers from the weeds.

I personally believe it's perfectly fine to eat meat. The only problem I see with meat is that it takes 10kg of grain to make 1kg of meat. I cut down a bit on my meat consumption to use fewer resources (save the world). I don't see anything wrong in eating meat.

 

 

 

 

 

P.S. Has anyone here read H. G. Wells's "The Time Machine"? It's an interesting moral issue when humans branch off into two species, with one species treating the other as livestock.

Also, notice that people (mostly) don't eat dolphins, monkeys, chimpanzees, pets, and others of the more intelligent animals.

I'd say its fine also, but I can understand people not wanting to as, many people have emotional involvement with their pets. I probably wouldnt eat my dog unless I was starving somewhere(probably not even then) but if I was visiting in China, sure I would.

I don't really like red meat personally but I'm a fan of white meat. The thought of them getting slaughtered and stuff like that makes me want to chunder but when it's picked up frozen at the super market I can stomach it.
