March 20, 200917 yr Firstly, plateskirts cost less because the magority of the RS fan base is male, and the average male person would choose platelegs over a plateskirt. Secondly, male avatars can wear plateskirts too, as I have done (kilt anyone?). Sig by me, in MS paint, but I'm still working on it. March 28, 200917 yr When melee training, I go for the best, cost-effective solution for armor. I usually end up using a Dragon Plateskirt. When not melee training, which is most of the time, I usually wear chaps, mostly because I don't want to carry the extra weight. So for me - I wear legs for the looks, and skirt for the stats. April 8, 200917 yr Jagex isn't sexist, if they were they'd give a advantage to one gender over the other, such as only letting women characters wear skirts and only letting male characters wear plate legs, BUT, have different prices for both, then Jagex would be sexist towards men then as it would be beneficial being a women character verse a male. But them keeping both genders able to wear the others stereotypical armor the only factor is if the player wants his or her character to "look good" in their armor verse paying a lower price. ~ Captainkidd

February 5, 201016 yr this could be solved if JAGeX made skirts and legs the same weight, and made the price of legs go down slowly, so it's the same as skirts, and have the monsters drop legs more often than skirts. If anythings sexist, that would be. Although I do wonder why they have different weight.
