Something rumored to be runnin around on Brimhaven, it is said to have an orange dot on the minimap when it appears.

on the RSOF there have been reports of people claiming to see a orange dot or a mysterious monster like thing quickly appear then dissapear. no one knows if these claims are true or not. I have recently seen a picture of the orange dot somewhere on the tip.it forums but i forget where. i do not know if it is real or not tho.

And yet this is a perfectly sane group of 20+ people, most of them not even being farmers.

 

 

 

I've been investigating the other reports, but it seems to be that this is the only one confirmed by Jagex. (The weird Green-grey head with blond cap-like hair in the Pouches)

Well the did say it zips by pretty fast. You try sitting their for a long time with your finger on the print screen button, waiting for it. And that's IF you have your camera in the right direction.

 

 

 

I wouldn't be surprised if they set it to only appear with one person in the area and to detect where their camera was facing so it would appear on the opposite side. Sneaky developers! :)

It said that it started with RSOF. They aren't alloud to post screens there (Jagex doesnt trust them... wonder why), so no one really thinks to screen it. Some probably do, but the some that do probably only use RSOF, and no other forum.

 

 

 

 

 

Also there is a pic on the 'Post all rs realated screenshots here' sticky of the orange dot in the minimap, but only the dot..

Yes I know the RSOF doesn't allow pictures but I'm sure at least one of those people would use another forum or have access to it.

I agree, for the simple fact that all of the people I've talked to say it was a Neon Orange color, not a Dark Orange color.

The Brimhaven Monster, (true name is the AFRO TROLL!.) is a rumor posted by someone on the RSOF. People jumped on it, started spreading it, and now because so many people are saying it, everyone is assuming it's true. There have been several faked pictures, and in my opinion, it's a load of hogwash. People create things like this all the time for publicity- until I can confirm what it is when the skill comes out, I'm not beliving anything... anyone remember the 'Wilderness Beast' that would only spawn if you went into a certain part of the lava maze skulled with a cash value of 1mil+? Probobly not. It was deleted minutes after creation.

 

 

 

I suggest you all do the same- belive nothing, trust noone. You never know when it's fake or real.

Someone did get a screenshot of an ORANGE DOT! on the map. Its in the screenshot section. He was facing the wrong way though. :wink:

I find it odd that the person who began this silly rumor managed to recall a great deal about the animals appearence for having only seen a quick glimpse of it..... -.-

I took this myself, I did NOT fake this! I was facing the other way before I had a chance to actually see the monster. I was looking after I saw the thread on RSOF (search for it if you want), and like they said there it disappeared less then a second after I print screened.
