Yeah, I'm the same too :-/. I was going to report it as a bug, I was a little worried Jagex would reply saying "Oh, you should be banned, bye *ban*", though. So I didn't :P.

I think summoning is just Jagex's attempt at a practical joke.

Summoning will probably be released tomarow (yes, I'm a terrible speller :( ) They usually release he big events on tuesday.

I don't think they've ever released an update on Saturday probably because only Customer Support work over the weekend unless theres some emergency which requires the developers to rush back to fix some bug. Thursday I think is too late to monitor things and fix any major bugs that crop up before they get out of control a la Construction.

It wouldn't be sensible for Jagex to release it on Thursday or Friday, let alone Saturday. As mentioned above, if they only have a few staff working over the weekend, what would happen if a massive bug in Summoning turned up that couldnt be fixed before the weekend? Just say "We'll leave it till Monday"? Force their staff to work extra days? Neither seem very sensible options to me.

No matter how many times they've gone over, tested and perfected the code, there's nothing quite for rooting out unnoticed problems than 30000+ people simultaneously using it, many purposefully going out of their way to find bugs to take advantage of.

Unfortunatley you cannot guarantee there will be no major bugs. Although they will have learnt from their previous experiences there's no saying that a new form of bug they just couldn't have forseen will crop up. You can just never tell until you've got it out there.

they wouldnt have circled the whole week if it was monday, todays update proved my theory.

 

 

 

and it never takes 5 days to fix a bug, if you knew what the bug is then you can attack it, and guess whats even funnier?

 

 

 

the construction bug came in 5 days when cursed you got 99 and it was on a saturday, they fixed the bug pretty fast if you ask me.

well seeing how someone was running around out of wilderness and killing people with inability to be killed himself...

 

 

 

I'd say that was something they couldn't let slide for a couple days.

if you guys checked the dev diaries they had circled this Whole week and had marked 22nd of jan....so i think it's testing time for this week and on 22nd they will release summoning

I like this idea. It reminded me that I have no idea what my recoveries are, so I changed them. The whole thing was extremely laggy, though.

No...They don't have the 22nd of January marked. Never did. Much like how the 14 didn't say due, the Jan does not say 22N.
