Bounty Hunter Solo

So I decided to go and mess around a BH tonight. After about an hour there and after losing multiple daggers to levels 91-97(I'm 71) I came to a realization.

 

 

 

When Jagex implements the solo area unless they do a wilderness like thing where someone within X combats of you can att you and vice versa or they split up the craters more precisely no one will be in solo.

 

 

 

Why?

 

Because after running around BH several times with my clan and by myself you realize that no one under 90 combat will survive. Because certain levels will realize, like we all have, that solo wilderness is safer for them. When they are near the top combat allowed the only thing that can really take most of them out is a small team unless there is someone who is actually geared up.

 

 

 

So really more people will be in multiplayer zone because most people won't be able to go into solo.

 

 

 

I know it's a mess I didn't think of putting any type of structure if someone wants me to I will.

I think that the 1 on 1 place should have a 1 level bracket place, a 15 level bracket place and a free for all levels place. I think that could be able to replace the old wilderness.

I think the whole BH idea is fudementally flawed. A game where the objective is for 1 person to kill another person, yet it in a multi combat area was never going to work. It's a total oversight on the part of the developers, of course in a multi combat area people will want to team.. it's human nature.

 

 

 

This problem's compounded by the huge level gaps for the portals. Do they expect a level 55 to stand a chance against a level 100? Suppose the multi-combat issue didn't exist and everybody played solo and went after their target as intended.. anybody under 85 combat wouldn't stand a chance anyway. I tried out the game on my 62cb pure a while back and got slaughtered by level 90+'s, and of course i was a few levels too high to use the low level portal so it's literally impossible for me to find a fair fight on that account.

 

 

 

The high level portal is a little more balanced. A level 100 can have a 90+ melee skill and be able to put up some kind of fight, but since most players that would want to use BH would fall into the mid portal category, some changes really need to be made to fix it.

Actually when its 1v1 most people are going to bring in their good weapons and armor for an actual shot of killing higher levels than them. I'm level 114 and I friendly duel a lot of my lower friends for fun. Guess what properly equipped they beat me everytime.

 

 

 

I am guessing when you went in you were only wearing a dagger and nothing else (consider you said that you lost many daggers). A 1v1 would really open it up as to armor people will bring in since they know they can't get teamed again.

The other option is remove the death drop concept. Instead, implement an "entry" fee. The person that kills you gets your entry fee (and vice versa) so long as A: You're their bounty or B: They're your bounty.

 

 

 

Now, there are levels and limits to the entry fee: it's from 1k to 100k each (perhaps 1k, 10k, 25k, 50k, 75k, 100k). You're limited to 10x the entry level fee for the amount of items you can bring into the fight with exception of 100k which is unlimited inventory. The level you can get assigned to hunt also is limited (1k would be within 5, 10k within 10 level, etc, while 100k is unlimited level assignment).

 

 

 

So, when you die, you keep your items, but lose your entry fee.

 

 

 

This is best in my opinion as it actually discourages 1 itemers and encourages all pkers to bring their best game. Pures still benefit.

 

 

 

PS: This is all solo bounty hunting.

 

 

 

EDIT: Oh yeah, this concept is so simple, it could be applied to the entire wild (or even the entire world) and still work. Only those that paid the entry fee would have to worry about getting attacked, and even then that'd be by those that also paid the entry fee.

of course he only had a dagger....only a [developmentally delayed] would bring in good gear to bounty hunter.

 

 

 

anyone with more than 100k is automatically labeled as dead.

 

 

 

not to mention to prevent MORE rl trading (because they still sell it through bounty hunter lawl), they removed FOUR worlds..so now there's only 2 BH worlds.

a lvl 45 can do a onehit on a lvl 3 in bh and they can both be in the low lvl crater

So you don't get properly geared? Is this perhaps because of the small teams of people who would slaughter you? On my level 71 Pure I bring a dagger, Str ammy, gloves, climbing boots, some sharks, pots, and Bounty Hunter tele runes. On my 81 junk acc I wear D'Hide, Dscim, and DD. And no matter what I am chased down by level 90+ and killed by them in their default gear. If you are under 85-90 Combat you don't stand a chance. They need to split up the craters more.

 

3-20, 21-40, 41-60, 61-80, 81-100, 101-120, and 121-138.

 

That way people are fighting others close to their combat.

 

But not only do they need to do that, but they need to find some way so people, me included, aren't simply running in there with there two friends one-iteming and specing out people.

hmmm, im cb 88(for now :P ) but even when i was cb 70- i still took on the lv 90s+, only because i have 87 range and with my 2h for a finish i aint 2 bad..

 

but yes it all comes down to it..u walk in no matter whta your going to run into a clan...i have found a way to slow them down. if you look they all use auto talkers simply say turn it off or i report:)

 

 

 

as for me..i go in full rune scimmy and 2h and im ready for a fight...i stand and fight no matter what the cb lv and il never team with more then 5 peopel :)

Exactly my thoughts. What is the point of it being multi-combat? I mean you either have a "Target" or you choose to randomly kill others (Rogues) either way the idea of the game has nothing to do with teams and multi-combat. Make it 1 on 1 combat so soloest at least stand a chance. The whole minigame would be alot better.

There is one thing which would help to balance it, make the skulling more like old wilderness, so that you only skull (and drop all items on death) if you attack another player who is neither bounty nor retaliation.

 

 

 

Another thing, if you kill (or half kill and they later die) your rogue attacker, YOU get a pickup penalty

i actually like the solo idea. I went into the bh area and lost full rune many a time to 20-30 people clans. (i'm lvl 117 btw). You can get owned in bh if you don't have a single combat area.

 

they should make single and multi areas

Is there even a 100+ Bh world because I haven't found it yet :(

 

 

 

Everytime I tried BH on my lv 50 1 defense pure, everyone would have the lowest skull and would never travel alone. I eventually gave up due to the fact that I could never get more than 2 kills without being hunted down by a team. I don't see how people can stand it to begin with.

 

 

 

If they had a Solo Bountyhunter deal implimented, wouldn't they pair people up in a crater with the same amount of cash value for their items? An entry fee would be plausible however, what happens when you kill someone? Would you get their entry fee after it is over like a duel? In my opinion, it will be the exact same as BH but just single combat.

 

 

 

Lets not forget that there are many ways for Jagex to update it for the better and, lets not forget, the worse.

lol impossible to solo, even now that lvl 115's are allowed in medium level crater for members, still they wont be able to solo, people adapt and team to kill....

 

Please tell me the level brackets.

 

Until of course single wild comes out and those 115s will be picking off people like fruit.
