With the systems coming out you will bascially be able to run them as if they were a PC due to the specs they offer, you might have to make a few changes but in the end if you do it correct you will have a PC and a game console. :P
May 23, 200521 yr Consoles also offer a whole lot more value if your mainly into gaming.. My video card cost me $300 Canadian alone, and for just a couple hundred more I will be able to buy a far superior next-gen console.

But it all depends on what you like, you generally don't see the same type of games available for consoles as you do for PCs. PC enthusiasts would argue that their games posess a lot more depth than most console titles, and are often frustrated when a console title comes to PC with little or no improvement because the PC is almost always a vastly superior machine - capable of a lot more, but costing a lot more too. I don't know a single person who has a PC JUST for games.

If you look at a pc game you have to check out the minimum specs as the computers are made for the games and you have to change your computer for the newer games. In consoles all the games are made for the specs that is the console and you dont have to keep paying more to upgrade your system. Aussie Aussie Aussie, :D

Look at the quality of the best looking console game and then at the best looking PC game and there's a world of difference. It's how important graphics are to you that decides how often you upgrade. It's very possible to run the same PC setup for at least 2 years before 'having' to upgrade.

I doesn't matter if the game is 'childish', as long as it plays well. Im 15, but I still enjoy Mario games, etc.

That's a good point about not having to worry whether or not the games will work. However, though one has to upgrade PCs to meet the current standards, one also has to buy the latest console in order to play the latest games. There is no middle ground with a console; with a PC, if yours is slightly better than average, you can play slightly better than average games, and, of course, lower than average ones too. With a console, however, your machine is as good as the next man's; while this is helpful for determining what you can and can't do with it, it really limits how many new games you can play. After all, the resources available on the console are finite, so without being really amasing programmers, the game manufacturers won't be able to make better games. In other words, it's all or nothing--whereas with a PC, you might be able to play that new game that has specs slightly above your own, you won't be able to play it on your console, as it's designed for the latest console. Whats the best thing the PS3 has going for it, aside from a completely unoriginal name? GTA7? Yay! Another mindnumbingly dull game where you run around killing people with no remorse! I have played every single GTA game since the first one, and IMO, the first one is still the best. San Andreas was just boring. Thest best thing the Nintendo Revolution has going for it? A heck of a lot! SSBO will be amazing, the wifi connection to DS will hopefully be a lot better than than the GC/GBA one, and we don't even know what the controller looks like! On the controller: the N64 controller revolutionised gaming. Before the analogue stick, no one knew how to control 3d characters properly. Nintendo's big mistake was in annoucing it early. Sony starts rubbing it's hand and cackling with glee. Next thing you know, the deulshock comes out with analoge sticks and rumble feature. Both of which were Nintendo's own ideas. The GC controller is regarded as the best form for a hand by almost every multiformat magazine or website. Plus they have the WaveBird, a wireless controller. Never been done before. What happens now? XBOX and PS3 are gonna get them? huh, I wonder why? Is it me, or do Nintendo create/innovate, and Sony/Micro$oft steal? Little wonder the new Revolution controller is being kept tightly inder wraps. One bloke I know works for Nintendo UK, and he's part of the team responsible for marketing the Revolution. He doesn't even know what it is yet, and he's supposed to think of marketing campaigns for it! If there is a spaceworld (and there should be), we may not even see the controller then. Ninty are going to keep it a secret for as long as possible, just so that Sony can't steal their idea again. Mario Tennis kicks the [wagon] of any tennis game I've ever played, including the real thing! May 25, 200521 yr I think the Nintendo is going to blow everyone away this time around. I like the plain design over xbox's "breathing in design", looks more like a silver box that was trampled in a crowded street. And PS3 looks like and scanner when its laid down and a paper shredder when its upright. Yes i did buy a gamecube and yes i was disappointed... It was fun for about a year then a lot of third party developers lost intrest in the gamecube. So my gamecube collected dust for about 2 years and i relied on my pc for games. Microsoft pwned everyone in the last consol wars but now they're going for the multimedia stuff instead of just focusing in games.That just doesnt apeal to me. Ive never trusted sony on game systems they always seem to make outragious claims about their systems so they sell a bunch initially but dont satisfy their customers. I did see the killzone demo and was impressed by it, but that is not realtime gameplay, wheres the hud? wheres the crosshairs? Why does the demo play out like a huge scripted event? LOL!!1 Seriously, if they're so revolutionary...Why does all their stuff suck? They WERE revolutionary..But then the PlayStation 2 came out..like 5 years ago. Nintendo hasn't made anything amazing (that I know of) since Nintendo 64. You cannot deny that up to that point, they were making the best stuff around. I remember when everyone was freaking out about how the N64 had a 64MB drive or some crap, lol. The GameCube was a worthless pile. All of Nintendo's games are literally for babies, or they're perversions of Mario. IT'S OLD AND BORING. I'll take Halo, GTA, etc., please. I'd rather not play Mario Party: 56 and then for a change play Barbie: Shopping Spree! :roll:

Though it feels kinda odd that the success of the console may or may not depend on the controllers :/ And I'll probably also get the PS3. You can't ignore the FF/RPG games :P If you have a goal, go for it :D Work hard, be proud and be yourself ;)
